FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BUDGETING IN ENSURING BUSINESS

SUSTAINABILITY: EVIDENCE FROM FINANCE OF FISHERIES

Objectives:
This study will assess the level of financial planning and budgeting in
ensuring business sustainability: evidence from finance fisheries
particularly in Barangay Central, City of Mati, Davao Oriental. This study
will focus on the following specific objectives:
1. To maintain the target species at or above the levels necessary to
ensure their continued productivity (biological);
2. To minimize the impact of fishing on the physical environment and
on non-target (by catch);
3. To maximize the net income of the participating fishers (economic);
and
4. To maximize employment opportunities for those dependent on the
fishery for their livelihoods (social).
