INTRODUCTION
It was a calm morning in Nagrebcan,
and the light is slowly rising above the
Katayghan Hills. the entirety Barrio
was gradually awakening, but no one
is around, only rooster. Carabao, a
stray goat, and a hen were on the
ground eating and going about their
daily lives.Also, Tang Ciaco lives in
the neighborhood. His wife, his two
sons, and pets. The story showed the
pitiful and unhappy experiences of the
two brothers and the black-spotted
puppy.
EXPOSITION
As the suns arise up, Nana Elang
was preparing her family’s breakfast.
Her oldest son saw the puppies and
started to play with them when his
younger brother, Ambo, woke up.
Nana Elang called ambo to told him
to get some live coals from their
neighbor. Ambo followed her
mother’s command and after that he
continue his playing.
 CONFLICT
Ambo sat next to Baldo, eating his
ripe banana without pealing it.
Baldo saw it, he urged ambo that
he needed to peel banana before
eating it. But ambo refuses what
his brother instructed. After that,
ambo began to play puppy he saw
black spotted one ang he also
wanted to play but he wouldn’t let
him touch. And they are star to
fighting.
RISING ACTION
Ambo and Baldo continued
fighting. Their argument
become violent and intense.
They also hurt the puppy. Their
father saw their brother Ambo
be bitten by the puppy.
CLIMAX
During their fight ambo
accidentally bitten by the puppy,
because of that Tang Cao father
of ambo and baldo, he saw the
puppy snarling with its hair. He
immediately went to kitchen to
get a piece of wood. He beat the
poor puppy, until the blood ooze
out. He did not stop until the dog
was not fully dead. After he
seeing the dog was not moving
he threw it to the corpse of
cornfields.
 FALLING ACTION
After beating the pitiful and poor puppy.
Tiang Ciaco suddenly turns his attention
to baldo and he beat it as well. He
continued beating his son because of
the things that were happening. Baldo
was asking some help to her mother to
save him because his father did not
stope from beating him. But sadly, Nana
Elang didn’t save baldo because she
was scared too. In the other and, ambo
was also hit his father so that he didn’t
escape from the wrath of his father.
RESOLUTION
Baldo and Ambo looked for the
dead puppy's body among the tail
corn after the incident. They
buried the dead dog in a certain
field corner after discovering it.
After burying the dead dog, Ambo
stood silently while holding it.
They returned to their home while
crying in silence.
THEME
The theme of the story is about the
harassment and demonstrates
some violence to human and
animals. Wherein Tiang Ciaco hit
his son and the dog as a same
time. We can also see in the story
that there is a gender
discriminations and unequal rights
for women, wherein nana elang
doesn’t have the power to protect
and fight her children.
 PERSONAL REFELCTION
After reading the story, I realized that we should keep and
treasure our siblings. Unlike Ambo and Baldo they choose to
fight so that it causes a trouble. We didn’t know what we will be
happen if we choose to fight, this story also happening in a real-
life situation. Also, we shouldn’t hit the animals, because they
have feelings too we should care them. This story also, I
awakened my latent spirit to change some of my unkind
behaviors toward my sister because they do not provide better
results and to prevent problems. In general, the parents in the
CONCLUSION family should learn this lesson in the same way as their son and
To summarize the story, baldo and ambo daughter. It demonstrates the negative attitudes that we must
