Distance Learning

Education has been a key part to society since the beginning of time.
Without education we would still be outside living primitively, without
any math, science and an English language. Distance learning is usually a
course in which an instructors post reading assignments, and schedules on
websites, and students send in their assignments by email. Everyone has
their own experience with distance learning. The problem is that everyone
learns differently, and has their own ways of processing information. The
fact that a professor is speaking to you face to face is really beneficial to
some students. While, some students just want to fall asleep. Distance
learning has brought a whole new outlook on learning, whether it

the education system as a whole. Distance learning was supposed to allow
great teacher to reach any student, anytime, anywhere . The internet allows
you to communicate with anyone around the world with just the touch of a
button. By using online classes, students will no longer be obligated to
have social interactions with their peers on campus. Yes, students will be
able to access the information given by the instructor at any time they
want. But, without their instructor face to face, students will have to come
up with their own method of processing information. This academic
freedom given to students can result in a insufficient learning techniques.
Figures indicate that the reduced effort results in a reduced commitment to
the course. The distance learning division of Cornell University, less than
a third of the respondents expected the quality of online course to be as
good as the classroom course.
Students have access to anything they would like to know about, in just
seconds. Meaning that we should use this to our advantage, instead of
hurting our education systems. Technology helps busy students connect
with each other and their teachers outside of the classroom and give
resources during lectures. Why not let the classroom and online work
coexistent to enhance our academic success? Being in a so- called “flip”
classroom
