CLASSROOM LEARNING VS. ONLINE LEARNING

The pandemic has become a hindrance for many people, especially students and
workers. Learning has become difficult for many learners since some of them don't have
the ability to provide the gadgets and other devices that a student needs to be able to
learn in the middle of a pandemic. For some people, distance learning might be
beneficial because they might be more comfortable learning in their homes than going
to schools or universities. These two modes of learning have their own pros and cons,
but which is more suitable and desirable for learners? Is classroom learning better than
online learning?
Technology has changed every aspect of our lives, including the way we learn and
teach. Nowadays, it is possible to learn online without the guidance of our own teachers.
Also, there are a lot of online forums that allow you to ask questions on any topic and
receive answers within a matter of minutes. It is an undeniable fact that online learning
has its advantages. You can learn from the comforts of your home. The flexible learning
hours are beneficial for people who can’t afford to spend 6 or 7 hours in the classroom.
Also, the internet has made it possible for learners to find teachers online via YouTube,
Facebook, and other types of social media platforms. Nonetheless, I still believe that
classroom learning and teaching are better than online learning and teaching.
The classrooms are the second homes for children, teenagers, and even adults.
This is a place where you're going to learn a lot of things, but it's also the place where
we had our first interactions with other people aside from our family, the place where
we had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories. We can't deny that the amount of
exposure and knowledge a classroom setting can provide is unparalleled compared to
online learning. Classrooms are not only made for learning; they are also built to
promote interpersonal interaction, enhance social skills, and contribute to our personal
development, which is lacking in online learning. All of this is significant for human
development, and this is the reason why classroom learning is far better than online
learning.
In addition, learning has been difficult for many students. There are a lot of things
to consider, especially for people with disabilities, who need a lot of attention to learn.
Online classes are a strenuous task for them to do, and there's no guidance from the
teacher, and teachers cannot monitor their students. From my observation, online
learning is quite ineffective; students just copy and paste their answers from websites
and don't even read. and distance learning is hard to deal with due to a lot of distraction
from the surrounding area; not all students are gifted with quite homes and a nice place
to study.
I came to the conclusion that classroom learning is far better and more preferable
for students than online learning. It is not just effective for learning; it also helps us
develop ourselves and our minds. Inside the classroom, it thought us to be decent human
beings. Classrooms are not just about math, science, and other stuff; classrooms are
there to help us learn how to face the society and prepare us for the future.
