About a year ago, I still remember when I was told that we were going to study offline.

I was
very excited at first, but when I reached school it felt as if I was uncomfortable and had to re-
adapt to the environment around me. I was one of the students who enjoyed online school. I
wasn't someone you could say was sociable, so I liked that I could study comfortably at home,
but as soon as I got to junior high school I realized how much fun in-person studies are!

So as we all know, the pandemic has forced us to change the way we live and work, including
the way we learn. Virtual education has become a popular alternative to traditional classroom
learning. During my speech today, I will deliver the advantages and also the disadvantages of
virtual education, and explore its impact on students, teachers, and society. So without further
ado, let's dive in!

One of the most significant advantages of virtual learning is its accessibility. Students who
previously struggled to attend in-person sessions due to disability, illness, or other causes can
now engage in learning settings tailored to their specific requirements because of technological
advancements. Virtual learning also gives students more flexibility in balancing academic and
personal commitments, such as taking a class while caring for a family member or working full-
time. Additionally, virtual education has enabled students to learn at their own speed, increasing
student engagement and success rates.

However, this form of learning has not been without its obstacles. For example,Students may
struggle to remain involved in online classes because they find it difficult to participate in
discussions or ask questions. This can be especially difficult for students who have grown used
to in-person interactions and social learning. While technology has made it possible for students
to connect with their peers and teachers remotely, it cannot fully replace the social interaction
that comes with in-person learning. This can impact mental health and motivation, as students
may feel isolated and disconnected from the learning environment.

In my case, Even though I liked studying virtually, I had challenges too. I started to get distracted
from studies because of social media, my motivations for studying started to decrease and I
started to feel very lonely from time to time.

If you ask me, what's the impact of virtual education for teachers? Well, Teachers could learn
new skills, Teachers will need to adjust to new technology and ways of teaching in order to fit
virtual learning. This might require additional training and resources to help with their transition.
But there are also bad impacts, for example stress and burnout. Teaching online can be difficult,
and teachers may develop burnout as a result of the increased effort and technological issues.

In conclusion, online learning provides both advantages and disadvantages. While it has made
education more accessible and adaptable, it has also introduced new challenges, such as isolation
and lack of motivations. As we advance with virtual education, it is critical that we continue to
explore and address these concerns. Nonetheless, virtual education has created new opportunities
for kids who would not have been able to participate in regular classroom instruction. I'm
looking forward to seeing how the field develops and how we can continue to make virtual
education more accessible and beneficial to all students. Thank you for listening, I am Janice
wellna teng and good morning!
