Guidelines for the compare and contrast paper

The compare and contrast paper is written in the form of an essay in which answers to the
following questions should be included:

1. What are the two journal articles? When were they published?
2. What are the studies about? Where were they conducted? Which research approach(es),
method(s), design(s) and/ or instrument(s) were used? Who were the participants? What
sampling strategies were used (if applicable)?
3. In what ways are the studies similar and/or different?
4. In what ways do the results of these studies support and/or negate each other?
5. What can you conclude about the phenomenon studied?

The essay is between 600 and 800 words long. Below is requirements regarding style and format:

1. Font: Times New Roman


2. Size: 12
3. Justification: fully justified
4. Margins: left margin is 3.5cm, others are 2.5cm
5. Spacing: 1.5
6. Space between two consecutive paragraphs: 6 points before and after

APA referencing style is required where references are made, including in-text citation and the
reference list.
