How to make Eco Enzyme at home

Ingredients:
• Water. The water used is clean water which can come from
gallons/refills, well water, AC waste water, rain water (which is
collected directly from the sky and deposited for 24 hours) and
PDAM water (settled for 24 hours to reduce chlorine).
• Brown sugar
• Organic waste (raw vegetables or fruit) fresh, not processed

Tool
• Plastic bottles
• Digital scales
• Funnel

How to make:

1. Prepare a used plastic container that can be closed tightly. Do not

use metal containers as they are less elastic. The fermentation process
will produce gas, so it requires a comfortable container.
2. Put the remaining fruit peels or vegetable scraps into the container.
Comparison of Organic Waste : Sugar : Water = 3 : 1 : 10
For example :
900g fruit peel : 300g sugar : 3000 (ml) water or 300g fruit peel :
100g sugar : 1liter water
3. Leave space for the fermentation process. Do not fill the container to
the brim!
4. Stir or turn your plastic bottle or container upside down until the
water and sugar solution mixes. Don't shake!
5. In the first 1 month, gas will be produced from the fermentation
process. Stir or turn the plastic container/bottle upside down followed
by opening the lid of the plastic container/bottle every day for the
first 1 month
6. Store in cool, dry and ventilated place. Avoid direct sunlight and
don't store in the refrigerator!
7. Fermentation lasts 3 months (for tropical areas) and 6 months (for
subtropical regions)
8. After 3 months, filter the eco enzyme using gauze or a filter.
9. Residue/dregs can be used again for a new batch of production by
adding fresh waste.
10. Residue/dregs can also be dried, then blended and buried in the soil
as fertilizer but not for potted plants
11. Please harvest your Eco-enzyme! Yeay!!
