20th Century North American Drama

When I entered the Broward college library virtually, I find many topics which I can explore. At
first, they seemed to be little content on each topic--less than 20 links—but after I went to
those links, the number of books was a lot. I tried to choose topics of my interest, like travel or
Latin American literature, but finally, I found something that I like but didn’t think to choose,
and it was centered in a region during a period: The 20 th Century North American Drama.

In this section, I was redirected to a page called “Alexander Street” where there were only
scripts of plays. I revised some of the plays and they were so interesting, that is one I want to
read more than the first pages to know more about the plot. I read a bit of 3 plays: The first
was “2: Goering at Nuremberg” and it tells the story of the judgment of Hermann Goering,
commandant of the Luftwaffe (Nazi Germany’s air force), during the Nuremberg judgments.
The second was “1200 a Year” and from what I understood it tells the story of the lives of
university professors in the early 1920s, gaining little money and trying to live with what they
had. The third was “Abingdon Square” a love story that occurred in New York during the 1910s
decade.

These scripts made me know a new type of play that didn’t know very well before, showing
love relations and the criticism of life, to events that happened in real life. It attracted me
more to the habit of reading, and knowing that in a library “you could get surprised with
precious readings”.
