Introduction:

Joe Biden assumed the presidency at a moment the US was facing many problems: A global
pandemic, a wave of cultural movements (such as Black Lives Matter or the rise of support for
the LGBTQ+ community) that divided the opinions of the population, a migration crisis and the
fall of the economy by the pandemic, etc. Biden made many promises about reaching the
solution to those problems, but many of them failed, while others succeeded. Now, Biden has
an approval rate below the 42% (40.8% as of June 2nd, 2022), with a lot of public opinions that
questioned its mandate.

Since Biden’s administration began, many actions have been taken, but does it took good
effects? Well, not at all. While the US had a good vaccination campaign and a good
infrastructure bill, the migration crisis couldn't be controlled and the "Open policies"
implemented needed to end and went back to the ones of Donald Trump's administration;
inflation that wasn't controlled well and a shameful military withdrawal from Afghanistan
when the Taliban recover again the power of that country. Its administration had also an
impact on the diplomatic relations, where they went different: Some them he had to toughen
actions and impose sanctions by condemning certain actions, such as Cuba or China, as well as
others that he softened out of necessity, such as Venezuela, but mainly the United States
sharpened rather than open, as its administration had an impact on the global economy and
relations.

After the protests due to the death of George Floyd in May and June of 2020, many people
vote for Biden in the 2020 elections for more inclusion and equity, and that happened. More
than 90 government agencies and departments published and combined laws so the US
federal government could serve in a better way minoritarian groups such as people with
disabilities, African Americans, Latinos and Asian Americans, etc. The unemployment rate was
another factor: In the US it fell from 8.4% to 3.9%, and although one of the factors was that the
unemployment had a "rebound effect" due to the loss of jobs of the pandemic (mainly jobs
that were part of the organization of events, catering and tourism), There was a massive
creation of jobs for the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, principally created by CDC, a
government agency.
