And so, Break the Chains is complete! When I First doodled a scene of a chained werewolf
and vaguely considered making a character mini-comic, I certainly didn’t expect that it would
eventually turn into a fully fledged out, forty-one page short story-- But As time went on
and I thought about the context around that scene more and more, I realised it could make
a pretty cool standalone! eventually, in October 2021 I sat down and thought “Right. Enough
thinking. i’m going to actually do this!”

It was great to see enthusiasm from the Vamily when i announced it; and when I finally had the
demo ready in november 2021 and listed it on StoryTeller’s Vault, I was surprised at the amount
of pre-orders. It gave me a good confidence boost and also made everything feel pretty
real.

And now, four months from that first announcement, january 2022, my first complete vampire
comic is done. The original release date was supposed to be December 31st 2021, a sort of
“happy new year!” kinda deal, But over the course of those four months I ended up adding a
few extra pages which I thought rounded out the whole story better, so...

I’m sorry and you’re welcome :).

I want to thank my friends especially for helping me and giving me advice throughout this
whole process; talking me out of some bad ideas and helping me find new good ones, as well
as giving me a general “YOU GOT THIS!” Whenever I lost some drive to work.

Thank you for reading break the chains! Later this year I hope to give you more vampire
comics, starting with my ventrue centric story “blueblood”.
