1. What is the importance of studying General Microbiology in relation


to the BS in Food Technology program?
The importance of studying general microbiology in relation to the BS in
Food technology program helps to keep our food safe. Microbiology
helps us to identify the microorganism that exist in food. With better
understanding of these microorganisms, help the biologist to find out
the ways for preventing the food from spoilage and make food safe.
2. How will you become a good microbiologist?
Microbiologist typically need at least a bachelor’s degree in
microbiology or related field, such as biology or natural resources, that
provides substantial coursework in microbiology.
3. How can you say that microorganism are everywhere?
Microorganisms are everywhere on surfaces we touch, in the air we
breathe and even inside us. As suggested by the name, all microbes are
too small to be seen without a microscope. Beyond size, microbes are
incredibly diverse. Microbes includes bacteria, fungi, and protists.
