    I. Background of the Study

    According to George W. Bush Institute, Mathematics plays a vital part in the lives of students.
    Mathematics literacy includes a wide range of knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of
    what is capable to accomplish rather than implying knowledge of its various branches or
    complex formulas. It also helps promote critical thinking and address student difficulties.

    Despite different advantages of learning mathematics, many students if not all, find it
    extremely difficult to learn
