Philippines. October 2020. “STAKEHOLDERS’ INVOLVEMENT IN SCHOOL
MANAGEMENT IN MARIPIPI”. A Master’s Thesis.

Adviser: Dr. Christopher R. Vicera

This study sought to find out the stakeholders’ involvement in school

management in Maripipi District. This study utilized a descriptive-survey research

design. This was participated randomly by the internal and external stakeholders

in Maripipi District.

Findings revealed that In terms of the profile of the stakeholders, majority are 22

to 45 years old, female, married, college level, and barangay officials.

With regards to the level of involvement of stakeholders in school

management it obtained an AM of 3.50 signified as highly involved.

As to the level of school-based management practice, it comprised of four

principles, namely: school leadership and governance, curriculum and instruction,

accountability and continuous improvement, and management of resources. For

school leadership and governance, it obtained an AM of 2.20 signified as maturing.

For curriculum and instruction, it reached an AM of 2.35 described as maturing.

For accountability and continuous improvement, it had an AM of 2.53 interpreted

as maturing. And finally, for management of resources, it yielded an AM of 2.29

marked as maturing. It gained an OM of 2.34 interpreted as maturing.

With regards to the relationship of variables, there is a significant

relationship between educational attainment of the stakeholders (r=0.642, p-

value=0.000) and occupation of the stakeholders (r=0.476, p=0.013). Meanwhile,

age (r=0.112, p-value=0.301), sex (r=0.075, p-value=0.442), and civil status

(r=0.136, p-value=0.389) denotes no significant relationship.

There is a significant relationship between the level of involvement of

stakeholders and the level of school-based management practices. It obtained an

r-value of 0.314 and a p-value of 0.012.

In the light with the above findings, it is highly recommended to strengthen

the participation and involvement of the community stakeholders through a regular

conduct of stakeholders’ convergence.
