Introduction
San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation (SMYPC) is a joint venture company that
combines the competencies of two recognized Asian brands – one of Southeast Asia's biggest
conglomerates, San Miguel Corporation, and Japan's Nihon Yamamura Glass Company, Ltd.
SMYPC has developed its business to provide not only glass packaging products but other
formats like metal, paper, composites, plastics, and PET requirements to a wide variety of
industries, including the beverage, food, pharmaceutical, industrial, personal & household care
industries. SMYPC supplies products such as Enviro-Tuff (radiant barrier), woven products,
wine closures, rigid plastic containers, and retail and online packaging, and wine. SMYPC has
also evolved to provide packaging services like beverage filling, logistics services, trading,
distributorship, and creative solutions. It has also expanded its market reach spreading to as far
as Southeast Asia, Australia, Middle East, Africa, United States and Europe.

1. In managing your inventory, is the
barcoding system play alone for counting the
SKUs in the in-and-out products, or do you
still do manual counting to ensure that the
number of items to deliver is correct?

Count) this activity involves different
departments (logistics, warehouse personnel,
finance, and external auditor).
Daily floor count is for internal to prevent
small errors.
- WE TAKE A NOTE OF THE AVERAGE
DELIVERIES.
The factors that we consider as producing
glass bottles for beer. First is the production
we must know how to forecast the daily
average production, we monitor the daily
average output of the glass bottles. Once the
bottle is labeled we put it in our ACL and
noted the daily average output. We also note
audit requirements for our delivery (average).
That’s how we do our forecasting.
We base this on our last year's record and that
is how we project for the next year's
forecasting.
The objective is to add or double the
forecasted output of the products.
