Appendix 2:

Tuckman’s Model to Manage Change in Personnel


Team development entails several stages that a team goes through when learning how to
shift from working as a group to working as a team. It entails 5 stages, and was developed
by Tuckman.

The site manager can use several proven leadership strategies such as coordinating,
coaching, empowering and supporting through the project phases as the employees go
through the various phases of Tuckman’s model:
