ENGLISH TASK PROCEDURE TEXT FOR INDONESIAN RECIPES

TITLE : HOW to MAKE KAREDOK

II. GOAL

My goal is to make karedok because this food is very popular in Jawa Barat. Karedok
is a typical Sundanese food, made with raw vegetable ingredients including; cucumber, bean
sprouts, cauliflower, long beans, basil leaves and eggplant. Delicious for healthy food fans.

III. INGGREDIENTS

Material:

a. 5 long beans, thinly sliced


b. 1 cucumber, sliced into small pieces
c. 3 pieces of cabbage, thinly sliced
d. 1/2 ounce bean sprouts
e. 2 round eggplants, sliced into small pieces
f. 1/2 bunch of basil
g. Complement: crackers

Spice:

a. 1 ounce of roasted peanuts


b. 1 red chili
c. 2 bird's eye chilies
d. A little shrimp paste
e. 2 segments kencur
f. 1/2 clove of garlic
g. salt and brown sugar
h. 1 tsp tamarind water (optional)

IV. TOOLS

a. Knife
b. Pestle
c. Spoon
d. Plate

V. STEP BY STEP PROCES

1. Prepare all the vegetables that have been washed clean. set aside.
2. Grind the red chilies, bird's eye chilies, garlic, kencur, and salt. Add peanuts, brown
sugar and boiled sweet potatoes. Grind until smooth and even. Add tamarind water,
stir well.
3. Add long bean slices, grind until smooth. Add other vegetables, mix well. Serve
karedok immediately with crackers.
