Outdoor High-Power over Ethernet Injector (DC Input)

Product Compact 2-port power injection device, capable for indoor and
Information outdoor installations where DC power supply is available.
An optional mounting kit is available for pole installation.

Function PonE superimposes DC power, required for the operation of the

connected outdoor radio system, on the same Ethernet cable that
carries the payload Ethernet traffic.
PonE accommodates two ports that can be used to power the
connected outdoor radio system.
For lengths up to 100 m (between PonE and the connected
outdoor radio system), one Ethernet cable run is used.
For longer lengths – up to 200 m – or for redundancy purposes,
two Ethernet cables can be used. 1
A LED, located on the PonE’s front cover, provides status
indications for easy onsite diagnostics.

Characteristics Generic:
• DC version injector for use with DC power supply sources.
• DC input voltage range: 40 V to 60V.
• Up to 60 W output power (guaranteed).
• One 100/1000Base-T (R-J45) interface and one 100Base-
T (RJ-45) interface for management only.

Functionality:
• Load detection – the PonE injector continuously monitors
the load connected to its output (i.e. the current on the
Ethernet line). If the load is within the specified limits, the
output is up. If it is outside the limits (low load, no load,
high load or short circuit), the output turns off, then it
restarts automatically and it’s up again once it detects a
valid load at the output.
• Proprietary detection, disconnect and overload protection.
• Diagnostic LED.
• Full protection (OCP, OVP).
• Single source four-pair power current sharing.

Mechanical / Environmental:
• Dimensions: 170 mm x 150 mm x 39 mm.
• Operating temperature: -50 °C to +65 °C.
• Operating humidity: up to 93%.
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor installations – IP55 grade.
