1 INTRODUCTION
This project is intended to carry out BWTS Installation on Vessel MV ZEINAB (IMO NO: 9070424).

3 PURPOSE
To verify the Stability of existing vessel after installing New Ballast Water Treatment. Weight estimation
calculation is carried out based on information provided by BWTS system vendor.
4 GUIDELINES
1. Weight calculation of new installed Ballast Water Treatment System is carried out.
2. Increased weight comprises of Piping, Structural, Equipment and Valves weight.
3. The Moment calculation is done with reference to the Frame “0” of the vessel.
5 CONCLUSION
Based on calculated results, it is found that changes in lightship weight condition and lightship LCG and
VCG due to installation of new BWTS system is within the permissible limit specified under IMO
requirements and vessel need not to undergo inclining test for lightship estimation.
