Tut No 5: Reactions of beams

1) The uniform beam has a mass of m= (Roll No) kg per meter of length. Determine the
reactions at the supports

2) Determine the support reaction for simply supported beam with overhang as shown.

Use d =

3) Beam AB is subjected to two point load of 24KN, udl of 12KN/m with a point load of
42KN at an angle of = (your roll no)0 as shown, Determine support reaction.
4) Beam AB of 11m is subjected to udl of 40KN/m with a point load of 20KN, force F=
200KN at an angle of = (your roll no)0 and a moment of 150KNm as shown, Determine
support reaction.

5) The 500-kg uniform cantilever beam is subjected to the three external loads shown.
Compute the reactions at the support point O. The x-y plane is vertical.

6) Find the resultant reaction at A due to the uniform loading of 2KN/m, force F=8KN at an
angle = (your roll no)0 and the applied couple on a cantilever beam.
