Flywheel is a heavy rotating body which serves as an energy reservoir.
he !lywheel stores the energy in the !orm o! "inetic energy during the period when the
supply o! energy !rom the prime mover is more than the re#uirement o! energy by the
machine$ and releases it during the period when the re#uirement o! energy by the
machine is more than the supply o! energy by the prime mover.
