1. What makes this artwork contemporary?
The performers transferred the audience to a different time when the Philippines were severely damaged by Super Typhoon Yolanda. Using information from the news and the stories of the victims' families, they recreated the scene that thousands of Filipinos may not have witnessed that day, which some have completely overlooked. 2. How does this artwork reflect the people of today? It reflects today's people, particularly today's artists, by demonstrating that even in the face of calamity, Filipinos remain united and work together. However, while the performance focuses on the resilience of the human spirit in the face of natural disasters, it could also represent a contemplative moment that leads to a call to action. Thus, the goal is to bring people together to confront climate change issues and the lackings of government on solving the afternath.
