    1.Initial count
    The instrumentary
    countsgauses, compresses,
    andinstruments of the
    mayotables and reserves and
    thecirculating nurse will
    recordthe data.

    Final count
    Just before cavityclosure, and at

    procedure if there isno surgical
    incision

    To consider
    The surgeon cannot close the
    cavity if the result ofthe count
    does not coincide with the initial
