Part I - Self Discovery

 Naviance – complete the Self Discovery Assessments
 Review and evaluate the results to find similarities and differences between you and the
assessment results
 Select a career, something you have been considering or are interested in learning about
 You will make a presentation to teach the class about your career choice
Part II – Slide Show
 Use Google Slides or PowerPoint
 Use talking points, not full sentences or paragraphs
 Be creative; make the slides and presentation interesting
 Be thoughtful and answer the questions as best you can;
1. According to the assessments what is your Holland Code and does it reflect your
personality traits accurately?
2. Define the job/career
3. What are the daily tasks of the job?
4. What skills do you need to perform this job?
5. What abilities do you need?
6. Education level required?
7. Suggested college major?
8. Salary in New York State or a specific geographic location – starting and potential?
9. Add any other information you think would be helpful, example “job perks” or “wow
factor”. Be creative!
10. Is this a profession you have been interested in or a result of the assessments?
11. What about this career is desirable to you or not?

 You can find the information on Naviance or any other source you prefer. Be sure to site
your work at the end of the presentation.
