Aim:

To study the different patterns in constellation of stars.

Materials required:
A torch, black chart paper, a needle, cello tape.

Procedure:
1. Cut the black chart paper so as to cover the light part of a torch.

2. Draw the patterns of constellations in the black paper cutting.

3. Punch holes for the stars in constellations.

4. Attach the black paper on the torch with cello tape.

5. Make the room dark and project the patterns of constellations on


while by turning on the torch.

Observation:
Different constellations of stars can be seen.

Conclusion:
Cassiopeia, Orion, Ursa major etc. constellations can be studied through
this experiment.
