PREFACE

As a Field Study Student of Nueva Vizcaya State University (Bayombong


Campus) in Solano High School is such an experience that shall not perish from
the earth working and experiencing the learning environment of the said school
is such an honor and privilege.

Furthermore, one of the key priorities of Teacher Education Institutions (TEI) is


the establishment of new educational orientations. The experiences of the
learners are aligned with the National Competency-Based Teacher Standards
(NCBTS) in this FS1 book. The learning experiences incorporated in each lesson
were designed to provide meaningful and gratifying interactions for students to
experience the pleasure of teaching and learning.

Individual Differences and Learner Interaction (emphasis on differences in


gender, ethnic, and religious origins); Individual Differences and Learner
Interaction (focusing on varying levels of skills); and Home - School Link are all
covered in FS1.

Features of the Book

This book is divided into Learning Episodes. Each Learning Episode contains the
following components;

My Target

This specifies the goals, objectives and purposes of the learners. The objectives
were stated in specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound (SMART)
manner.

My Performance
This employs a processed and product-oriented analytic grading rubric. It
assesses the effectiveness of the observation, documentation, analysis, reflection,
and submission processes. It also assesses the FS Student portfolio's product or
output quality. It is mainly a tool for the Field Study instructor to evaluate the FS
Student once the episode is completed. It may also be utilized for self-rating by
the FS Student after finishing the episode. It comes right after My Target to offer
the FS Student an idea of what points will be reviewed at the conclusion of the
learning episode.

My Map

This presents the means/ directions, processes, ways which the learners need to
undertake to attain the target.

My Tools

This part gives the learners the instruments that they have to use activities to
undertake in the learning episodes to sharpen their skills.

My Reflections

This empowers the FS Student to get engaged in higher thinking process skills.
This phase will help to improve meta cognitive skills as engaged in solving
problems, making judgements and formulating inferences.

My Analysis

It is the students' learning in a nutshell, a genuine method of evaluation. A


briefcase containing the learners' numerous proofs and documentation
(photographs, illustrations, organizers, songs, rhymes, acronyms and the like).
The phase demonstrates the FS student's capacity to segment the material
received and experiences encountered in order to conduct an in-depth and
incisive examination of the same.
