ANALYZE

Your findings and recommendations in the Learner Development Profile will help you
answer the questions here.

1. From your home visit and interview, What do you think is the style of parenting
experienced by the learner? Explain your answer.

I believe that her mother has a more authoritarian parenting style since she makes
decisions on behalf of the father. Therefore, if she is more authoritarian, it is totally okay.

2. Relating your data with what you learned from child development, what family
factors do you think contribute to the development and overall adjustment of the learner in
school?

Perhaps the death of the father is a key element in the development of the kid. Perhaps her
timidity is due to the fact that she sticks out in a crowd. There's a chance that her mother's
advice was right. Her general adjustment is due to the support of her siblings and their
influence on her development.
3. Does the communication between the home - school have an affect on the learner? If
ys, what are these effects?

It has, without question. As we are all aware, our parents are our first instructors; thus, if
they taught us well, we will be able to survive in the outside world. If we are not adequately
taught at home, we will not be able to understand the content of things.

4. How can the teacher partner with the community to contribute to the development
and learning of the students? Who are the people or which institutions can the teacher tap
to seek advice regarding development and learning of students.

The more parental involvement in their children's education, the better the results.
This is true for all forms of parental participation in their children's education, as well as
for all types and ages of pupils. The greater the advantages, the sooner parents get engaged
in their children's educational process. Educators usually stress the importance of the
home and family environment in shaping a child's school achievement. At all levels,
parental participation is clearly beneficial for creating academic and emotional changes,
and middle and high schools are urged to engage and sustain this involvement.
REFLECT

1. Reflect on your own development as a child. What type of parenting did you
experience? How did it affect you?

From the time I was a youngster until the present, I have seen that my parenting style has
been dictatorial.
My parents want me to grow up to be a responsible and contributing member of society.
My parents may find it difficult to choose the ideal approach to raise me so that I may
become a productive adult member of society. My parents practiced "authoritarian
parenting" since they are quite rigorous. They have many regulations, and when I violate
them, I am reprimanded by being yelled at, blamed, or scared. Consequently, I understand
why they did it; it's because I've developed as a nice and powerful individual, which has
affected my personality to become a better version of myself.

2. As a future teacher, how would you establish good home- school collaboration? How
can you work well with the parents? How can you help them? How can they help you?

As a prospective teacher, I want to encourage parents to collaborate with the school to

assist their children learn.
Participation in both academic and social aspects of school life. I will communicate
effectively with parents by inviting them to parent events or seminars and stressing that
we are all working together to promote their children's educational experiences. I'll help
parents detect and manage student difficulties, as well as deal with complaints and
grievances, so they can set clear ground rules for their kids.
As a teacher and a parent, they can assist me in grasping their perspectives on others in
this manner.

School, Family, and Community Influence on Student Achievement

When parents communicate to their children about school, expect them to do well, and
aid them with college planning and ensuring that their children participate in beneficial
out-of-school activities, their children do better in school. Students gain more when
schools include families in ways that promote improved learning. Schools are more likely
to retain links that lead to greater student accomplishment when they build relationships
with families that address their concerns and recognize their contributions. And studies
demonstrate that when families and communities join together to hold failing schools
accountable, school districts make real policy, practice, and resource adjustments.
