General
1- Definitions:
The following definitions shall apply to the Electrical or Mechanical Services Contract, as
appropriate.
2- This document “Method of Measurement” must be read in conjunction with the BOQ and is
considered a part of it and the Project’s Contract

3- The BOQ is structured based on the enclosed design drawings and the technical specifications
ﺗم ﺍﻋﺩﺍﺩ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻳﺳﺔ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻣﻪ ﺑﻧﺎء ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﺧﻁﻁﺎت ﺍﻟﺗﺻﻣﻳﻣﻳﺔ ﻭ ﺍﻟﻣﻭﺍﺻﻔﺎت ﺍﻟﻔﻧﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﻓﻘﺔ ﻣﻊ ﻣﺳﺗﻧﺩﺍت ﺍﻟﻁﺭح
4- The Contractor shall visit the site and keep himself fully aware about the Project’s location, to
know / determine:
- Climate Condition
- Mobilization strategy and to what extent the services are available
- Logistics strategy
- Local regulations and norms that must be followed

ﺧﻁﺔ ﺍﻟﻠﻭﺟﻳﺳﺗﻳﺔ ﻣﻥ ﻧﻘﻝ ﺍﻟﻣﻭﺍﺩ ﻭ ﺗﺷﻭﻳﻧﮭﺎ ﺑﺎﻟﻣﻭﻗﻊ ﻭ ﺍﻟﺣﻔﺎظ ﻋﻠﻳﮭﺎ ﺑﻣﻛﺎﻥ أﻣﻥ ﻭ ﺧﻼﻓﻪ-
ﺍﻟﻘﻭﺍﻧﻳﻥ ﺍﻟﺗﺎﺑﻊ ﻟﮭﺎ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭع ﻭ ﺍﻟﺗﻲ ﻳﺟﺏ ﺍﺗﺑﺎﻋﮭﺎ ﺍﺛﻧﺎء ﺍﻟﺗﻧﻔﻳذ-
5- With no objection from the Contractor, the Client has right to cancel or postpone any scope
mentioned in the BOQ if he sees that scope will disrupt the building’s operation. No associated
claim is acceptable.
ﺍﻟﻣﺎﻟﻙ ﻟﻪ ﺍﻟﺣﻖ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻐﺎء ﺍﻭ ﺍﺭﺟﺎء أﻱ ﻋﻣﻝ ﻣذﻛﻭﺭ ﺑﺎﻟﻣﻘﺎﻳﺳﺔ ﻟﺭﻭﺋﻳﺗﻪ ﺍﻥ ﻫذﺍ ﺍﻟﻌﻣﻝ ﺳﻳؤﺛﺭ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻌﻣﻠﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﺷﻐﻳﻠﻳﺔ،ﺑﺩﻭﻥ أﻱ ﺭﻓض ﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ
. أﻱ ﺍﻣﺭ ﺗﻐﻳﺭﻱ ﺗﺎﺑﻊ ﻟﮭذﺍ ﺍﻟﻘﺭﺍﺭ ﺳﻳﻛﻭﻥ ﻏﻳﺭ ﻣﻘﺑﻭﻻ ﻭ ﻻﻏﻳﺎ.ﺑﺎﻟﻣﺑﻧﻰ
6- The Contractor shall do his best endeavor for undertaking all required communication and
discussions with the local authorities to make sure compliance with their regulations,
secure their approval, and guarantee smooth handing over. Failure to do so, any
associated cost will be borne by the Contractor.
ﻳﺟﺏ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺑﺎﻟﺗﻧﺳﻳﻖ ﻣﻊ ﺍﺳﺗﺷﺎﺭﻱ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭع ﺑﺑذﻝ ﺍﻓﺿﻝ ﻣﺎ ﻋﻧﺩه ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺗﻌﺎﻣﻝ ﻣﻊ ﺍﻟﺟﮭﺎت ﺍﻟﺧﺩﻣﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﺎﺑﻊ ﻟﮭﺎ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭع ﻟﺿﻣﺎﻥ ﺍﻥ ﻣﺎ ﻳﺗم
ﻓﺷﻝ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺗﻧﺳﻳﻖ ﻣﻊ.ﺗﻧﻔﻳذه ﺑﺎﻟﻣﻭﻗﻊ ﻫﻭ ﻣﻁﺎﺑﻖ ﻻﺷﺗﺭﺍﻁﺎﺗﮭم ﻭ ذﻟﻙ ﻟﺗﺄﻣﻳﻥ ﺍﻋﺗﻣﺎﺩﻫم ﻭ ﺿﻣﺎﻥ ﻣﻭﺍﻓﻘﺎﺗﮭم ﺍﺛﻧﺎء ﺍﻟﺗﺳﻠﻳم ﺍﻟﻧﮭﺎﺋﻲ ﻟﻠﻣﺷﺭﻭع
ﺳﻳؤﺩﻱ ﺍﻟﻰ ﺗﺣﻣﻝ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ أﻱ ﻧﻔﻘﺎت ذﺍت ﺍﻟﻌﻼﻗﺔ ﺑﺩﻭﻥ ﺍﺩﻧﻰ ﻣﺳؤﻟﻳﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺣﮭﺔ ﺍﻟﻣﺎﻟﻛﺔ،ﺍﻟﺟﮭﺎت ﺍﻟﺧﺩﻣﻳﺔ
7- The Contractor shall check in the first instance the availability of resources (electricity,
telecommunication, water, sewage, fire, and TSE) and ensure all of such resources will be
provided on time as planned in the Construction Programme. In case of there is no official
commitment from the relevant authority side, the Contractor to identify the risk and with immediate
action, a road map to be planned and in coordination with the Client and the Engineer, the
Contractor will do his endeavor till resolving such constraints.

ﻓﻌﻠﻰ، ﻓﻲ ﺣﺎﻟﺔ ﻋﺩم ﻭﺟﻭﺩ ﺍﻟﺗﺯﺍﻣﺎت ﺭﺳﻣﻳﺔ ﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﺟﮭﺎت ﺍﻟﺧﺩﻣﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﺎﺑﻊ ﻟﮭﺎ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭع.ﻟﺿﻣﺎﻥ ﺗﻧﻔﻳذ ﺍﻟﺑﺭﻧﺎﻣﺞ ﺍﻟﺯﻣﻧﻲ ﻛﻣﺎ ﻫﻭ ﻣﺧﻁﻁ ﻟﻪ
ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺗﺣﺩﻳﺩ ﺩﺭﺟﺔ ﺍﻟﺧﻁﻭﺭﺓ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺑﺭﻧﺎﻣﺞ ﺍﻟﺯﻣﻧﻲ ﻭ ﺍﻋﺩﺍﺩ ﺧﻁﺔ ﺍﻟﻁﺭﻳﻖ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻭﺟﻪ ﺍﻟﺳﺭﻋﺔ ﻻﺗﺑﺎﻋﮭﺎ ﺑﺎﻟﺗﻧﺳﻳﻖ ﻣﻊ ﺍﺳﺗﺷﺎﺭﻱ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭع ﻭ
.ﺍﻟﺟﮭﺔ ﺍﻟﻣﺎﻟﻛﺔ ﻭ ﺑذﻝ ﺍﻗﺻﻰ ﺟﮭﺩ ﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﻟﺿﻣﺎﻥ ﺗﻭﻓﻳﺭ ﺍﻟﻣﺻﺎﺩﺭ ﻓﻲ ﺣﻳﻧﻪ ﺩﻭﻥ ﺗﺄﺧﻳﺭ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭع ﻋﻥ ﻣﺎ ﻫﻭ ﻣﺧﻁﻁ ﻟﻪ
8- The Contractor to submit all engineering works (shop drawings, ITPs, method statements, etc.)
required with the method statement transmittal documents for the Engineer’s review and
approval. Engineering works will be considered within the Contractor’s offer and there is no
entitlement to claims for any engineering related works till obtaining the Engineer’s approval.

. ﺍﻻﻋﻣﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﮭﻧﺩﺳﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﺗﺑﻁﺔ ﺑﺄﺩﺍء ﻋﻣﻠﻪ ﻫﻲ ﺟﺯء ﻻ ﻳﺗﺟﺯأ ﻣﻥ ﻋﻘﺩه ﻭ ﺍﻟﻘﻳﻣﺔ ﺍﻟﻣﺎﻟﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﻘﺩﻣﻪ ﻟﻪ.ﻟﻣﺭﺍﺟﻌﺗﮭﺎ ﻭ ﺍﻋﺗﻣﺎﺩﻫﺎ
9- The Contractor to adhere to the International Standards and local norms in his executions, with
taking into consideration the necessary accessibility requirements for frequent maintenance
.ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﺗﻣﺳﻙ ﺍﻟﺗﺎم ﺍﺛﻧﺎء ﺗﻧﻔﻳذ ﻋﻣﻠﻪ ﺑﺎﻟﺛﻭﺍﺑت ﺍﻟﺩﻭﻟﻳﻪ ﻭ ﺍﻻﻛﻭﺍﺩ ﺍﻟﻣﻌﺗﺩﺓ ﺑﺎﻟﺩﻭﻟﺔ ﻣﻊ ﺗﻭﻓﻳﺭ ﺍﻟﻣﺳﺎﺣﺎت ﺍﻟﻼﺯﻣﺔ ﻻﻋﻣﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﺻﻳﺎﻧﺔ ﺍﻟﺩﻭﺭﻳﺔ
10- The Contractor to generate as-built drawings for all MEP works under this Scope of Work and
submit for the Engineer’s approval
.ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺗﻘﺩﻳم ﻣﺧﻁﻁﺎت ﻣﻁﺎﺑﻘﺔ ﻟﻠﻣﻭﻗﻊ ﺑﻌﺩ ﺍﻧﮭﺎء ﻛﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻹﺻﻼﺣﺎت ﻭ ﺭﻓﻊ ﺍﻟﻛﻔﺎءﺓ ﻟﻠﻣﮭﻧﺩس ﺍﻻﺳﺗﺷﺎﺭﻱ ﻟﻠﻣﺭﺍﺟﻌﺔ ﻭ ﺍﻻﻋﺗﻣﺎﺩ
11- The Contractor to undertake the necessary design for hanging and supporting system and ensure
stability in both longitudinal and transverse directions during the operation. Hanging and
supporting system will be considered included within the Contractor’s offer
ﻧظﺎم.ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺗﺻﻣﻳم ﻛﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﻌﻠﻳﻘﺎت ﻭﻣﺎ ﻳﻠﺯم ﻣﻧﮭﺎ ﻟﺿﻣﺎﻥ ﺣﻣﺎﻳﺔ ﺍﻻﻋﻣﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﻣﻌﻠﻘﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻛﻼ ﺍﻻﺗﺟﺎﻫﻳﻳﻥ ﺍﻟﻁﻭﻟﻲ ﻭ ﺍﻟﻌﺭﺿﻲ ﺍﺛﻧﺎء ﺍﻟﺗﺷﻐﻳﻝ
ﺍﻟﺗﺛﺑﻳت ﻭ ﺍﻟﺗﻌﻠﻳﻖ ﻟﻛﻠﻔﺔ ﺍﻷﻧظﻣﺔ ﺍﻟﻛﮭﺭﻭﻣﻳﻛﺎﻧﻳﻛﻳﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭع ﺳﻭف ﻳﺗم ﺍﻋﺗﺑﺎﺭﻫم ﻣﻥ ﺿﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﻌﺭض ﺍﻟﻣﺎﻟﻲ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺩم ﻟﻠﻣﺷﺭﻭع
12- Through the agreed communication protocol, the Contractor to undertake the necessary
coordination with all stakeholders working in the same Project and ensure execution of works is
aligned with the execution time programme
ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﺗﻧﺳﻳﻖ ﺑﻳﻥ ﻛﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻷﻁﺭﺍف ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺎﺭﻛﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻭﻗﻊ ﻣﻊ ﺍﻟﺗﺄﻛﻳﺩ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺗﻧﻔﻳذ ﻛﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻻﻋﻣﺎﻝ،ﻣﻥ ﺧﻼﻝ ﻗﻧﻭﺍت ﺍﻟﺗﻭﺍﺻﻝ ﺍﻟﻣﻌﺗﻣﺩﺓ ﻟﻠﻣﺷﺭﻭع
.ﺍﻟﻣﻭﻛﻠﺔ ﻟﻪ ﻁﺑﻘﺎ ﻟﻠﺑﺭﻧﺎﻣﺞ ﺍﻟﺯﻣﻧﻲ ﺍﻟﻣﻌﺗﻣﺩ
13- The Contractor to adhere himself with the acceptable site dress code, safety staffs and
Identification Card shows his name, company, designation, and date. The Identification Card to
be reviewed by the Engineer and stamped through the Client. in addition, adherence to the
Project Health & Safety procedures to be strictly carried out and covered in his offer.
إﺿﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻟﻰ ذﻟﻙ ﻭﺿﻊ ﻛﺎﺭﺩ ﺗﻌﺭﻳﻔﻲ ﻟﻛﻝ ﻓﺭﺩ ﻣﺗﻭﺍﺟﺩ،ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻻﻟﺗﺯﺍم ﺍﻟﻛﺎﻣﻝ ﺑﺄﺭﺗﺩﺍء ﺯﻱ ﺍﻟﻣﻭﻗﻊ ﺍﻟﺭﺳﻣﻲ ﻣﻊ ﻛﺎﻓﺔ أﺩﻭﺍت ﺍﻻﻣﻥ ﻭ ﺍﻟﺳﻼﻣﻪ
ﻋﻼﻭﺓ ﺍﻟﻰ ذﻟﻙ ﻋﻠﻰ.ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻥ ﻳﺭﺍﺟﻊ ﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﻣﮭﻧﺩس ﺍﻻﺳﺗﺷﺎﺭﻱ ﻭ ﺍﻋﺗﻣﺎﺩه ﻣﻥ ﺻﺎﺣﺏ ﺍﻟﻌﻣﻝ، ﻭظﻳﻔﺗﻪ، ﺍﺳم ﺷﺭﻛﺗﻪ،ﺑﺎﻟﻣﻭﻗﻊ ﻣﺑﻳﻥ ﻋﻠﻳﻪ ﺍﺳم ﺻﺎﺣﺑﻪ
.ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻻﻟﺗﺯﺍم ﺍﻟﻛﺎﻣﻝ ﺑﺎﻻﻣﻥ ﻭ ﺍﻟﺳﻼﻣﺔ ﺍﺛﻧﺎء ﺗﺄﺩﻳﺔ ﻋﻣﻠﻪ ﺍﻟﻣﻭﻛﻝ ﺑﻪ ﻭ ﻳﻌﺗﺑﺭ ذﻟﻙ ﻣﺷﻣﻭﻻ ﻓﻲ ﻗﻳﻣﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﻌﺎﻗﺩ
14- The Contractor to carry out all the necessary testing, balancing, and commissioning for all his
assigned works which the same considers included in his offer
ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﻘﻳﺎم ﺑﻛﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻋﻣﺎﻝ ﺍﻻﺧﺗﺑﺎﺭﺍت ﻭ ﺍﻟﻘﻳﺎﺳﺎت ﻭ ﺍﻋﻣﺎﻝ ﺍﺗﺯﺍﻥ ﺍﻟﻣﻁﻠﻭﺑﺔ ﻟﺗﻧﻔﻳذ ﺍﻟﻌﻣﻝ ﺍﻟﻣﻭﻛﻝ ﻟﻪ ﺑﺄﻋﻠﻰ أﺩﺍء ﻭ ﻣﻁﺎﺑﻘﺎ ﻟﻼﻛﻭﺍﺩ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻟﻣﻳﻪ ﻭ ﻣﺎ
.ﻫﻭ ﻣﻌﻣﻭﻝ ﺑﻪ ﺩﺍﺧﻠﻳﺎ ﺷﺭﻳﻁﺔ ﺍﻋﺗﻣﺎﺩ ﺍﻟﻣﮭﻧﺩس ﺍﻻﺳﺗﺷﺎﺭﻱ ﻭ ﻳﻌﺗﺑﺭ ذﻟﻙ ﺿﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﺗﻘﺩﻳم ﺍﻟﻣﺎﻟﻲ ﻟﻪ
15- Testing, Balancing, Commissioning and Maintenance for Existing Equipment (if requested
by the Employer): the Contractor to physically examine the condition of equipment and
undertake the necessary testing for identifying the maintenance regime required for returning
such equipment to the origin as possible. This item shall include:
- Applying testing and balancing and issue a report to the Engineer for review and
approval
- Provide maintenance warranty certificate for 1 year
- Apply through the warranty period all necessary visits to ensure the equipment are
running as planned; a maintenance report to be issued.
All the above to be included as a provisional sum in the commercial offer.

: ﺑﻧﺩ ﺍﻟﺻﻳﺎﻧﻪ ﻳﺷﺗﻣﻝ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻻﺗﻲ.ﻋﻠﻳﻪ ﻳﺗم ﺍﻋﺩﺍﺩ ﺧﻁﺔ ﺍﻟﺻﻳﺎﻧﻪ ﺍﻟﺩﻭﺭﻳﺔ ﻻﻋﺎﺩﺓ ﻫذه ﺍﻟﻣﻌﺩﺍت ﺍﻟﻰ ﺣﺎﻟﺗﮭﺎ ﺍﻷﻭﻟﻳﺔ ﻛﻠﻣﺎ ﺍﻣﻛﻥ ذﻟﻙ
ﺗﻭﻗﻳﻊ ﻛﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻻﺧﺗﺑﺎﺭﺍت ﺍﻟﻣﻁﻠﻭﺑﺔ ﻭ ﺍﺻﺩﺍﺭ ﺗﻘﺭﻳﺭ ﻳﻭﺿﺢ ﺣﺎﻟﺗﮭﺎ ﻟﻼﺳﺗﺷﺎﺭﻱ ﻭ ذﻟﻙ ﻟﻠﻣﺭﺍﺟﻌﺔ ﻭ ﺍﻻﻋﺗﻣﺎﺩ-

ﺍﺛﻧﺎء ﻓﺗﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﺿﻣﺎﻥ ﻓﺄﻥ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﻘﻳﺎم ﺑﺯﻳﺎﺭﺍت ﺩﻭﺭﻳﺔ ﻟﻠﺗﺄﻛﺩ ﻣﻥ ﺣﺎﻟﺔ ﺍﻟﻣﻌﺩﺍت ﻭ ﺛﺑﻭت ﻛﻔﺎءﺗﮭﺎ ﻭ ﺍﺻﺩﺍﺭﺗﻘﺭﻳﺭ ﺯﻳﺎﺭﺓ-

ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﻘﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﺗﺄﻛﺩ ﺍم ﻛﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻻﻋﻣﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﻣذﻛﻭﺭﺓ أﻋﻼه ﻫﻲ ﻣﻭﺿﺣﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻣﻘﺎﻳﺳﺔ ﻟﻠﺭﺟﻭع ﺍﻟﻳﮭﺎ ﺍذﺍ ﺗﻁﻠﺏ ﺍﻻﻣﺭ ذﻟﻙ ﻭ ﻻ ﺗﻛﻭﻥ ﻣﺷﻣﻭﻟﺔ ﺿﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﺗﻛﻠﻔﺔ

ii. Unless otherwise described or measured separately, prices for all items shall include
for all necessary straight, raking, or circular cutting.
iii. Generally, in setting down dimensions in the Bill of Quantities, the sequence is length
- width - height. All measurements have been taken up or down to the nearest meter
(or other units), and where exactly half meter (or other units) measurements result
these have been taken up.
i. Supplying to site, stored in a secure and clean place, and wrapped by a sort of
protective cover till installation
ii. Material’s preparation prior to going for installation; the item includes surface
cleaning from any dust, grease, and the like
iii. Material’s installation as per the approved method statement by the Engineer
iv. All engineering works associated with each system to be included as needed till
handing over the Project in a fruitful manner as intended
v. Labour and all costs in connection therewith and related to materials, goods, and all
costs in connection therewith (e.g., conveyance, delivery, unloading, storing,
handling, hoisting, lowering taxes and duties, insurances, levies, and the like).
vi. Fitting and fixing materials and goods in position.
vii. Use of scaffolding, plant, equipment, and tools. (Refer to item 25 below)
viii. Waste of materials.
ix. Cutting and making good.
x. Establishment charges, overhead charges, and profit.
xi. Guarantees and warranties wherever necessary as provided in Specification.
18- In relation to item 15 above, the scope of Testing, balancing, commissioning, and the like is
located separately under each system for pricing individually with taken into consideration the
Project specification for compliance.
19- Treating any exposed surface (pipes, ducts, etc.) by special preparation and painting to meet the
architectural requirements and theme.
20- Fire rated and non-fire rated walls, slabs, etc.: The Contractor to follow the specification and the
local fire and life safety Code at points of penetrations and the same to be shown in the Builder’s
works transmittals as follow:
- Fire resistant collars, mortar, sealant, etc. at point of penetrations for fire rated walls,
slabs, etc. metallic sleeves are only acceptable at point of penetrations. No wooden
frames or other combustible materials to be used in fire rated walls, slabs, etc.
- Metallic sleeves and silicon sealant for achieving sealed and secured openings is
acceptable for non-fire rated walls. Penetration of slabs and inside wet areas;
extension of metallic sleeves by 75mm is a must. The relevant Specification to be
followed.
Treatment of all openings through both fire rated and non-fire rated walls in accordance with the
Project Specifications and local norms to be included in Contractor’s offer.
The cost of item shall include the provision by the Contractor to the sub-contractors of all facilities for
the proper execution of their work, including the free use of scaffolding, mess rooms, latrines, power,
light and water, storage space, labour and plant for receiving, offloading, stacking and handling of
materials, obtaining and providing details regarding the construction programme.

The Bills of Quantities shall not be used as a basis for ordering materials and the Contractor to
validate the quantities of materials in accordance with the site condition and approved shop drawings
prior to ordering the materials.
The Contractor shall retain working places to the origin clean and neat and the same to be included in
his offer.
MECHANICAL
A. Ductwork
1. Rectangular or square ductwork shall be measured in square metres, taken along the centre
line over all fitting’s extra length for seams, stiffeners, supports, fixings, or the like shall be
understood to be included.
2. Circular flexible ductwork shall be enumerated irrespective of diameter or length.
3. Fittings including access openings, brackets hangers and other supports to ductwork shall be
understood to be included.
B. Equipment
1. DX-ducted type fan coil units, DX-split hi-wall mounted units, wall mounted axil fans, ducted-
type inline fans, or the like shall be enumerated.
2. Explosion Proof Hangers (buildings): Explosion proof centrifugal fans complete with fire
dampers at the wall’s penetrations, smoke sensor at upstream duct, fire rated ducts up to
exhaust louver (using fire resistant duct is limited to inside building or enclosed space, other
than that, normal duct will be specified)
3. Control and Command room: Temperature controlled only will be offered.
4. Server room: Computer Room Air Conditioning Unit specially for Data Centre purpose will be
offered with concept N+1. Temperature and humidity controlled are both inclusive as
requested by the Operator.

5. Contractor to prepare the single line diagrams for MCC panels to ensure proper
communications and operations as per the intended Sequence of Operations for each
equipment and system.
6. Contractor to prepare a Cause-and-Effect Matrix that interconnecting mechanical systems
with the Fire & Life Safety and demonstrate the operation during normal and fire modes in
presence of AHJ representative for getting consent.
7. Sensing or activating devices (for example, thermostats, etc.), interfacing with other control
panels for monitoring such as air conditioning system “limited to control room, security room,
FLS equipment, pumps, water level controller, or the like are included in the respective items.
8. Wiring, isolators, starters, relays, or the like associated with automatic controls are included
9. Connections to supply mains shall be measured as an item.
10. Spare parts (from the same approved make) that are required to guarantee continuation of
works to be included with the Contractor’s offer. Tabulation list of spare parts and time of
maintenance and replacement to be submitted for consideration and record.
A. General
1. Cutting and reinstate existing roads outside the Project’s boarder and inside for installation of
MV cables from the nearest MV loop to the dedicated powerhouse inside the Project’s
boundary. In that regard, all associated communications with the respective authorities till
getting No Objections must be inclusive with the Contractor’s scope and the Project’s time
frame.
2. Contractor to respect the ROW (Right Of Way) and existing utilities run beneath such ROW;
data collection for existing utilities, preparation of coordinated drawings showing cable’s
corridor, etc. are all inclusive in the Contractor scope of works.
3. Work together with its truncking, ducting and cable trays (unless associated with more than
one installation) shall be Classified as follows and given under an appropriate heading: -
a) Main and Submain Distribution Installation
b) Lighting Installation.
c) Power Installation
d) Fire Alarm System and Voice Evacuation System Installation
4. Close coordination between electrical works and other trades (mechanical, public health,
firefighting and fire alarm) is the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure:
- the Project will be smoothly handed over.
- the electrical services are properly accessible and maintainable.
- The safety measures are strictly adhered throughout the Project’s construction
period.
5. Installations shall be enumerated (for example, lighting installation) and shall be deemed to
include everything comprising the installations as referred to above. However, if any cable,
conduit, accessories, etc., requires to be measured separately then it shall be measured in
accordance with the relevant clauses below
6. Tape and bus-bar trunking measured under the respective item
7. The references herein to 'conduit' shall be understood to include trucking, ducting, or the like.
8. Cable trays shall be measured by length stating the width.
9. Spare parts (from the same approved make) that are required to guarantee continuation of
works to be included with the Contractor’s offer. Tabulation list of spare parts and time of
maintenance and replacement to be submitted for consideration and record.

1. Cable conduit to individual sub-main circuits shall be enumerated and separately identified
as may be appropriate.
1. Rates for all conduits shall include for all fittings, draw wires and supports.
2. Rates for cable trays shall include for all fittings and supports.
E. Packaged Engine Generator: The following items to be waived from the relevant specification
section 263213:
1. Acoustic Enclosure
2. One daily fuel tank out of two i.e., the engine will be capable of carrying out the design
emergency and essential loads for 8 hours duration
