ABSTRACT
T his report deals with the metallogenic and
previsional analysis carried out in the domains of
Folha Aquidauana (SF.21-X-A) located at the west
region of Mato Grosso do Sul State, based on geo-
logical data available until june 1994. The results ex-
posed on a metalogenic and previsional chart,
according to models set up for other areas in the
country, were gathered together in one volume with
metallogenic data displayed over a tectonic-
geological basis.
In this work are characterized 77 ore deposits,
according to its morphology and genetic type. The
Corumbá Group carbonate rocks, located in the far
west portion, constitutes the main mineral potential
in itself for limestone and dolomite explotation and
as prospective potential for phosphate and base
metal sulfides.

Taking into account previous geological
mappings, only a few alterations were
performed. One of them regards the granite
bodies assigned to Acidic Intrusives Unit, which
were classified in this work as belonging to the
Intrusiva Alumiador Suite of the Amoguijá Group.
As a result of the previsional work were
distinguished eight new prospectable areas as
well as some geophysical radiometric uranium
anomalies. Besides the tectonic-geological
basis, over which was elaborated the
Previsional/ Metallogenic chart, six other
thematic maps were carried out: Lithologic,
Geophysical, Geochemical, Structural-tectonic,
Stratigraphic-tectonic and Mineral Occurrences
maps. All of them are available in the
CPRM-SUREG-GO library.
