Last summer I went on holiday to New York with my girlfriend. We

travelled by plane, and the journey was exhausting. We were really excited
about visiting The Big Apple for the first time, so 14 hours seemed a long time.
We stayed in a hotel in Manhattan. We booked a room that wasn’t very
big or bright, but it wasn’t expensive, and the best part is that the hotel was
very close to Central Park. It was fantastic to get up in the morning and go

running in the park before breakfast.
We did a lot of sightseeing; we visited all the most important buildings
and museums in the city. And we also went on a helicopter tour. It was
amazing! But the best thing for us was to walk around and watch the people,
the cars, and the buildings. It was like being in a film!
