OBSERVATION
When the circuit construction was completed and was inspected and tested for any
physical & electrical faults it was then powered.
When the start forward/push button was pressed the magnetic contactor normally
opened (N.O) contacts became close hence the motor to rotate. The stop push
button was then pressed, at this point the close contacts opened hence causing the
current flow to stop which resulted the motor stopping. Finally, the reverse push
button was pressed the contactor engaged again but motor rotated in the opposite
direction of when the forward push button was pressed.
Conclusion: In concluding a push button station is ideal in having control of a
motor circuit when the motor is required to operate at different intervals and rotate
in different direction – forward/reverse.
