Hypothesis Testing
Claim 1: People watch YouTube videos daily

Null Hypothesis: Ho: π >= 80 percent of people watch YouTube videos daily
Alternate Hypothesis: H1: π < 80 percent of people watch YouTube videos daily

H0 : π >= 0.8, H1: π < 0.8, α = 0.05

N=203, p= 0.82, π=0.8, Left tail test
Z-computed = 0.71 & Z-critical = -1.645
NOT REJECTING as it is right of –1.645

Claim 2: Students watch YouTube videos daily

Null Hypothesis: Ho: π >= 80 percent of students watch YouTube videos daily
Alternate Hypothesis: H1: π< 80 percent of students watch YouTube videos daily

H0 : π >= 0.8, H1: π < 0.8, α = 0.05

N=100, p= 0.84, π=0.8, Left tail test
Z-computed = 1 & Z-critical = -1.645
NOT REJECTING as it is right of –1.645
Hypothesis Testing
Claim 3: People click on YouTube advertisements if they find them relevant

Null Hypothesis: Ho: π >= 80 % of people click on YouTube advertisements if they find
them relevant
Alternate Hypothesis: H1: π < 80 percent of people click on YouTube advertisements if they
find them relevant

H0 : π>=0.8, H1: π<0.8, α = 0.05

Z-computed = -18.57 & Z-critical = -1.645
REJECTING as it is left of –1.645

Regression Analysis
Trying to find a relation between age and behavior of buying the product
advertised to audience on YouTube if they like the Advertisement

Y = Value of behavior index (Dependent)

X = Age of the audience (Independent)
Conclusion
Hypothesis Testing

• Greater than equal to 80% of the people watch YouTube videos daily
• Greater than equal to 80% of the students watch YouTube videos daily
• Less than 80% of the people click on YouTube advertisements if they
find them relevant
• Less than 80% of the students click on YouTube advertisements if they
find them relevant

Regression Analysis

• We can conclude that the behavior of buying the product advertised on

YouTube is not related to the age of the person as significance F value is
greater than 0.05.
