Resolution Calling for Respect for Student Leadership & for Upholding Democracy

LET IT BE RESOLVED that _______________ calls on the UCSC administration to:

● Commend the leadership of the student body in their generosity and stewardship of
public funds on behalf of students;
● Respect democracy by upholding the vote of the student body on referenda;
● Respect student governance of student fee referenda funds, including saving plans,
as needed, to safeguard programs and resources for current and future students;
● Model accountability and transparency by ensuring public understanding of the
university budget and timely communication with students.
