We Don’t Just Debate, We Seek Solutions
The Eklavya Model
United Nations
About us

The Eklavya Model United Nations is a private organization based in Delhi and built on the
narrative of the Eklavya – a confident soul and one who always knew what he wanted, we are
working to set a core foundation of leadership and diplomacy among impassioned personnel.

We aim to surge the global prospect of evolution among the archers of tomorrow to light the
path of India’s future with boundless untapped potential and creativity. We provide training to
enforce deep knowledge of diplomacy, constitution, laws and ethics, human rights, and world
peace

Eklavya MUN organises simulation of the proceedings of the United Nations, providing
participants with a platform to delve into global issues and international relations. Through role-
playing and debate, aspiring leaders and diplomats gain valuable experience in critical thinking,
public speaking, negotiation, and teamwork.

The organization's name, Eklavya, resonates with the very essence of its mission. Eklavya, a
character from the Indian epic Mahabharata is a synonym of dedication and the pursuit of
excellence. Despite being denied formal training, Eklavya's unwavering resolve and innovative
spirit made him a skilled archer. Similarly, Eklavya MUN seeks to empower individuals with the
tools and knowledge they need to become future leaders, regardless of their background or
experience.

The Maiden edition of Eklavya M.U.N. conference will be organised at S. G. Public School,
Vasundhara on 17th and 18th May 2024 with the collaboration of trusted partners emitting
excellence in their respective fields and have the public trust value attached to them.

Over the course of the conference, which typically spans two days, delegates
engage in lively discussions with other delegates, each advocating for their
country's interests. This two-day conference provides them with valuable
delegate experience, adhering to UN, and Indian Parliament rules. They
navigate and improvise solutions to real-world problems, gaining valuable skills
like research, public speaking, writing, and debating—all while gaining insight
into how international diplomacy works.

The delegates are given a specific country or political figure to embody, and
their task is to discuss and solve major world issues, just like real UN meetings.
MUN is an interactive space where everyone's ideas are heard and debated. Just
like in the real world, the ultimate goal is to draft resolutions that address the
world's most pressing challenges, showing that even as students, you can make
a meaningful impact on the global stage.

THE
Collaborative Spirit
MUN influences teamwork dynamics by placing participants in groups fostering
cooperation in devising diplomatic solutions to intricate global challenges.

Oratory Skills
Model United Nations enhances oratory skills by cultivating the ability to engage with
diverse audiences. Participants develop invaluable communication abilities vital for
effective public discourse.

Diplomatic Acumen
Participants engage in negotiations, formulate resolutions, and tackle multifaceted
international issues, refining skills indispensable for effective diplomacy, including tact,
negotiation, and consensus-building.

Participants are exposed to complex global issues and are required to solve immediate
problems during MUN simulations. This nurtures a crucial skill set for making well-
informed decisions across various contexts.

MUN equips individuals with foundational skills for leadership roles by honing public
speaking and fostering a global outlook crucial for addressing diverse challenges. Thus,
it serves as a valuable precursor to future leadership positions.

Securing admission under the Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA) quota in India often
necessitates MUN certificates. Furthermore, showcasing MUN certificates
strengthens scholarship applications when applying to international universities,
underscoring essential skills and global perspectives.
