ACTIVITY B

B:Locke, Hume and Kant.

All I learned about John Locke is that he made "Tabula Rasa," or "blank slate," popular. that the human
mind acquires knowledge and shapes itself solely via experience, without any innate concepts that
would act as a foundation. From there, external factors such as education, environment, and
experiences—both material and/or immaterial—shape the growth of the person. And after further
investigation, I discovered that the black slate also acted as a holy text for political and moral
convictions. that any differences we observe across races, ethnic groups, sexes, and people are not
caused by variations in their innate makeup but rather by variations in their experiences. At the other
hand, I learned that David Hume is renowned for his assertion that there is no such thing as a personal
self. He was making the observation that one's concrete self is not a permanent, unchanging idea. The
bundle of perceptions we identify as the self are fleeting and fluctuate throughout time. His idea of what
we may refer to as the self is made up of our constantly changing perceptions of the world we live in.
According to Hume, humans still have a tendency to think of themselves as stable entities that exist over
time .despite the fact that no matter how deeply we scrutinize our own experiences, we never see
anything beyond a collection of fleeting sentiments, sensations, and impressions. Last but not least,
Immanuel Kant taught me that each of us possesses both an inner and an outside self, which together
make up our consciousness. Our psychological state and our logical intelligence make up our inner
selves. The physical world and our senses are part of the outer self. There is perception while discussing
the inner self. He also stated the only a little portion of who we are exists in the awareness of various
emotions, impressions, and behaviors. According to him, in order to define and know who we truly are,
there is a certain level of consciousness or feeling that uses intuition to integrate all of our experiences,
impressions and beliefs about ourselves.
