Our proprietary, patented path tracking system tracks

individuals in the physical environment of the queue. We
are not simply counting individuals and shopping groups in
the space. We track their entry, movement and exit.
Children can be filtered out. Measuring actual wait times of
individuals and shopping groups requires both accurate
data capture and tracking of the path and speed of travel for
each individual.

Accurate data capture is essential to accurate queue
management. Found only with Brickstream smart
devices, path tracking technology combined with
stereo vision technology results in the most accurate
behavior analytics on the market. By measuring height
and mass as well as location, speed and direction, we
can distinguish children from adults and track shopping
groups such as families. We can operate in difficult
environments with strong shadows, bright lights, lots of
colors and widely ranging temperatures without
affecting the accuracy of our behavior analytics. Path
tracking enables QueueIQ to manage self- checkout
lanes, determine actual individual wait times and
achieve industry leading accuracy. Other systems
simply count using calculations to determine the time
in the queue which doesn’t provide actual wait times.

THE SOLUTION
The QueueIQ solution includes three elements:

REAL TIME DASHBOARDS AND PREDICTIVE
ANALYTICS
QueueIQ provides real-time alerts and dashboards to
existing operational tools such as mobile applications,
browsers, and custom and commercial dashboard
applications. Real time wait times can even be
reported to consumers via mobile app or the web.
Based on traffic and average shop time, QueueIQ can
predict the number of lanes that will be required in 5,
10, 20 minutes to a real-time dashboard. The front end
manager can then redeploy labor where needed before
a service breakdown occurs.
LONG LINE AND UNSTRUCTURED QUEUES
In addition, Brickstream smart devices path link, which
allows tracking people across the fields of view of
multiple Brickstream smart devices. This contiguous
tracking allows us to accurately and consistently
monitor long (serpentine) queues. QueueIQ can also
be used to monitor self check out lanes.
OPTIONAL POS INTEGRATION
QueueIQ optionally integrates with POS systems to
allow conversion rates and transaction mix across
service points. QueueIQ provides a new dimension
into your labor forecasting engine and improves the
forecast accuracy and resulting schedule. By closing
the loop daily between forecast accuracy and schedule
compliance, accountability to the staffing plan is now
possible. Metrics can be reported on monitors and/or
embedded in mobile applications for staff and
consumers.
SELF CHECKOUT LANES
QueueIQ can also report, in real-time, service times
and checker occupancy of self check out lanes. Out of
service checkouts can be detected and automatically
be reported.
