    PROGRAMME :

    Highly Immersive Programme : Outreach – Pen pal programme

    1.0 INTRODUCTION

    The Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) is a programme introduced under the MBMMBI

    policy that will improve the English proficiency of students through increased exposure in

    schools. It is a reinforcement of the 1999 MOE circular on implementing English enrichment

    activities in and out of class

    2.0 AIM

    The Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) is introduced with the aim of improving the English

    proficiency of students by providing increased exposure to English. It also aims to inculcate

    positive behaviors towards the learning and usage of the English Language.

    3.0 OBJECTIVE

    3.1 To create an English environment.

    3.2 To increase the interest of learning and speaking in English.

    4.0 TARGET

     SJK (T) Air Kuning Selatan Community

    5.0 IMPLEMENTATION

     Period : Throughout the year 2021

     PLACE : SJK (T) Air Kuning Selatan


    6.0 DESCRIPTION
    This activity provides opportunities for pupils to establish friendships with pupils from
    different schools through letter writin or emails. SJK (T) Air Kuning Selatan build a network
    with SJK (C) Air Kuning Selatan and SJK (T) Batang Melaka. 10 pupils from level two were
    chosen for this programme. English is used as a medium of communication. English
    teachers and parents will monitor the students’ involvement in this activitiy.
