INTRODUCTION

A. Background of Study

English is an international language, the language spoken all over the world.
Entering this era of globalization, we are required and obliged to be able to master
English well, especially for students at school or at university. That means English is
an important thing in the world of education and even everyday life. In the field of
work, mastery of a foreign language is also a skill that becomes a benchmark and a
plus in itself.

Many people equip themselves with various skills, one of which is fluent in
English.Along with the growing needs of the community for the importance of
English language skills, various institutions have emerged that offer English language
course services. In this discussion, we will discuss one of the existing courses, namely
Rumah Inggris Lampung (RIL). This course institution is located on Jalan Nila 38B,
Banjarrejo, Batanghari, East Lampung, Lampung.

Rumah Inggris Lampung has a goal to make students more familiar with
everything about English according to their level, from English for children to
academics and to produce graduates who are competent and qualified so that they are
able to face competition when they are the work. Especially in under 8 years old
(children class) they should be able in improving their vocabularies like example
vocabulary of plants, fruit and verb and ect. In the teenagers (students of junior/senior
high school) they should be able mastering the vocabulary and confidence in speaking
English and trying pronouciate many words. For studied they should be able in
several aspects of English like speaking, writing, listening and reading they need in do
the test. And for the job they should be able in the be mastering in on of the skills of
English they need in a job.

B. Formulation of The Problem

- Vision : To build an English-based settlement in Lampung.
- Mision : Make develop an English literate generation.

c. Goals
Rumah Inggris Lampung has a goal to make students more familiar with
everything about English according to their level, from English for children to
academics and to produce graduates who are competent and qualified so that
they are able to face competition when they are the work.

d. History
Rumah Inggris Lampung is a course institution that was founded in
2018. Rumah Inggris Lampung prepares a learning program based on the
existing learning system in English village, Pare, East Java. Which aims to
create graduates who are fluent in English, by focusing on getting students to
speak English in their daily life.
The founder of Rumah Inggris Lampung is a man from Lampung who
has been a teacher or tutor in Kampung English Pare, namely Mr. Beni
Setiyawan. He thought of creating a course institute in Lampung that had the
same learning concept and quality as those in pare. He hopes that the opening
of this course institute can make it easier for those who want to learn English
so that a literate young generation will be created.

B. Programs and Teaching at Rumah Inggris Lampung
1. Active Vocabulary
Active vocabulary is a program designed to memorize vocabulary in English with
a special and easy method.
2. Grammar and Use
Grammar and Use, here will be taught how to use grammar in English, without
being distracted by formulas and remembering what makes you bored.
3. Pronunciation
Pronunciation is one of the compulsory materials in English that is not taught at
the general school level. Here will be taught sounding in English.
4. Natural Speaking
A natural speaking program designed for beginners to intermediate students where
native conversation patterns will be taught such as native English speakers, not
only speaking techniques but mental building, stage building, and various other
skills.
C. Additional Programs
1. Power Speech
Weekend add-on program to hone English language skills in front of large
crowds. which will also teach mental shaping.
2. English Explore
English explore is an outdoors program that aims to create a new atmosphere
in the learning process, combined with a variety of interesting games for
character building.

3. Facilities
The facilities of Rumah Inggris Lampung serve for the member in supporting the
learning activities are :
 Camp for student
 Free Wi-Fi
 T-Shirt
 Five modules in each class
 Learning properties (notebooks’, etc.)
 Certificates (value and attending)

4. Human resource
a) Staff Requirement
- Have teaching experience in Pare, at least one year
- If they have never had any teaching experience in the English village of Pare,
they must take a tutor class provided by Rumah Inggris Lampung for 6 months.
5. Marketing
In advertise the course, they have two strategies in informing about their
course. The first is online and offline marketing. For the online marketing Rumah
Inggris Lampung utilizes social media as a medium in introducing and marketing this
course. In the online media, namely: Instagram, Facebook, and the website. They
always update their learning activity in course and the advantages of the course. In
addition, the offline marketing they also carrying out affiliate programs, referral and
Goes to school programs to attract them to know so they can join as real families and
believe to this course.
