For The loading and offloading activities on Lay-Down Area | INTRODUCTION ‘This method statement presents an overview of the principal methods and equipment to be utilized of the rock storage lay-down area, The main activities are * Mobilisation of competent personal for task. * Transportation and off-loading of rock. © Loading of rocks to offshore. This method statement and job safety analysis are hereby developed within these elements to describe in more detail the methods used, the resources deployed and the controls put into place to eliminate or mitigate safety hazards and adverse environmental impacts. DOCUMENT CONTROL This method statement is a controlled document as required by the system procedure Quality Planning and issued in accordance with the system procedure Control of Documents and Data. The method statement is subject to amendment during the execution of the Works as, a result of periodic review and whenever circumstances require subject to CTIV approval. Revisions will be issued in accordance with the system procedure Control of Documents and Data whenever the main text changes or when an appendix is added or removed. Revised appendices for substitution will be issued separately and, where appropriate, will include a separate schedule of contents. This document's revision and appendix issue status is shown in the Project Register of Management System Documents, a copy of which may be obtained from the Project Office upon request. HEALTH, SAFETY AND THE ENVIRONMENT Health and Safety Hazards 1 As required by the Project Health & Safety Plan, the significant health and safety hazards of this work have been analysed in accordance with the Risk Assessment & Work Execution Procedure (QGX/20/00/SA/PC/NA/107 El) and are listed below. ‘Untrained or personnel not understanding the nature of the task. Personnel ~ Responsibility ~ Work pattern. ‘The Construction Manager is responsible for the organization and coordination of the entire work. The responsible Site Engineer will be responsible for instructing the foreman about the requirements of the contract, including all restrictions, safety regulations, and work-scope and time schedule. In addition, he will be responsible for related logistic, matters. The foreman is responsible for implementation of the intemational regulations regarding the safety in all activities. The PM is responsible for the management and co-ordination of all the sub- contractors and concerned authorities, so as the works on the project to be carried out in a safe and environmentally way to meet contract requirements, in particular for time and quality. Construction activities will be carried on a 24-hours basis. Night Shift Procedure shall be adopted. Project procedures and documents © CTIV procedure QGX/20/00/QA/PC/NA/002 Inspection Coordination Procedure (With Subcontractor) © CTIV procedure QGX/20/00/QA/PC/NA/020 QA/QC Requirements for Subcontractors © CTIV specification for lifting procedure QGX/120/00/SA/PC/NA/104 METHODOLOGY Schedule of Work. 1 The lay down area will be utilized as a stock area for rocks which will be brought from the sea with supplier barge (Armor rocks 0.5-2.0 tons), from the land with dump. trucks or trailers (Screened quarry run IT (1-500 kgs)), and concrete Antifer blocks which will be removed from the existing break water. and offloading activities will be carried out on 24-hours basis, and each shift has total duration of 12 hrs but actual working hours will be for 10 hrs. .3 The activities will be coordinated closely between Archirodon and CTJV and port authorities. 4 Archirodon will adhere to RLC safety rules and regulations applicable in the port area, Construction Works The area of stockpiling of stones and Antifer blocks will be utilized as shown in the drawings (appendix c). 1 The stock piling of Armor stones (0.5-2.0 tons) which will be brought from the sea with supplier barge will be done by loader and dump trucks, and an excavator will be used to pile the stones fo achieve the maximum capacity of stocking. .2 ‘The stock piling of Screened quarry run II (1-500 kgs) which will be brought from the land by trailers or trucks will be done by loader, and the excavator will be used to pile the stones to achieve the maximum capacity of stocking. 3 The stock piling of concrete Antifer blocks which will be removed from the exii break water (fiom sea and under sea levels) will be done by the crane barge and a mobile crane. 4 The area behind the jetty will be used by loader, trucks and mobile crane when offloading Armor stones and Antifer blocks brought by the supplier barge. 3 Access road with width 10.0 m will be utilized to maintain easy transportation of trucks and trailers during loading and unloading activities 6.2.6 A distance of 8.0 m behind the jetty will be left without stockpiling for safty requirements. Records of stored quantity will be kept for control purposes. ‘The loading and offloading operation of the barges will continue during night, a night, shift team will continue the works according to night shift works procedure. QUALITY CONTROL. The loading works will be surveyed and inspected by the supervisor in charge according to quality control plan for rocks production and delivery. A specific inspection and test plan (ITP) is not required for this activity.
