Q1. What two pieces of empirical evidence could you have presented from where you
start your research?
The two pieces of empirical evidence could you have presented to help convince them are:
1. Qualitative
Qualitative evidence is the type of data that describes non-measurable information. It
ensures the quality of the research.it helps us understand a product’s domain, context,
and constraints in different, more useful ways than quantitative research does. It gives
the design team credibility and authority because design decisions can be traced to
research results.
It gives the team a common understanding of domain issues and user concerns.
2. Quantitative
Quantitative evidence refers to numerical data. Understanding users quantitative
research can miss many details.

Q2. Describe the technique that you would use to collect data.
The techniques which we have used to gather data are interviews, observations, schedules,
and surveys.
Surveys technique was used because it was helpful in

 Identifying what the customer’s preferences for the project were how they wanted
the project to be.
 Accessing customers and employee’s satisfaction for the ATM machines interfaces.
 Making a generic product for the people of different age and genders or whether
they are from different cultures.
Another Technique which proved to be successful was Interviews this technique was used
because it was helpful in

 Gaining access to rich data which was present in participant’s experience and
memories.
 Providing in-depth and detail of the ATM interface system.
 People also enjoyed being interviewed because they were given an opportunity to
talk at length to an issue which matters to them.
Q3. Describe the technique that you would use to analyse each of those data sets.
Ans: The data analysing techniques which will be used in analysing the data sets will be
decision trees
Decision trees were used because

 They will help to make smart and strategic decisions regarding the data sets.
 The potential outcomes, consequences can be used as factors in evaluating the best
decision for the data set.
 They will be helpful in analysing quantitative data.
Data mining will be used

 Data mining will be helpful in identifying dependencies, relations, and patterns in the
data sets.
 It will provide insights for additional values, direction, and context.
Cohort Analysis will be used

 Cohort analysis will be helpful in analysing historical datasets.

 It will be helpful in gaining a wealthy insight into consumer needs or a firm
understanding of a broader target group.
Time Series Analysis will be used

 It will be helpful in analysing a set of data points collected over time.

 it would allow us to understand if variables changed during the duration of the
study.
