KNOW YOUR FRIEND

Today am going to talk about my friend Laksh Arora.

I met him on the first day of our college and felt an instant connect. His jolly ,
fun loving and warm personality was very welcoming.  He has a good sense of
humour which is the reason that you'll always have a great time around him. His
strong thoughts and opinions distinguishes him from the whole class. Within a
small time span only we became good friends and i know I can be myself
around him . I can make fun of him , pull his leg or go out and explore new
places with him. And even can seek for his help when I am in need. Somehow
my opinion about him haven't been really changed before and after knowing
him. He is such people pleaser will never say no to anyone . You will always
find him wherever you need him or his help . I liike how he is as an individual
and I hope we share this great bond ahead too.
ASSIGNMENT No. 4
ACCEPTING LGBTQ COMMUNITY IN INDIA

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Today, I would like to talk to you about
the acceptance of the LGBTQ community in Indian society. The LGBTQ
community, which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer,
have been marginalized and discriminated against for far too long. It is time for
us as a society to accept and embrace diversity in all its forms, including sexual
orientation and gender identity.

In India, homosexuality was criminalized under Section 377 of the Indian Penal
Code, which was a colonial-era law. In 2018, the Supreme Court of India finally
struck down Section 377, recognizing the rights of the LGBTQ community and
paving the way for acceptance and equality.

Despite this progress, the LGBTQ community still faces discrimination and
stigma in many areas of life, including in the workplace, in healthcare, and in
their families. This is unacceptable and needs to change. We must all work
together to create a more inclusive and accepting society.

One way to do this is through education and awareness. We must educate

ourselves and others about the realities of the LGBTQ community and the
challenges they face. By understanding and educating ourselves about the
experiences of the LGBTQ community, we can better understand and support
their needs.

Another way is through representation. The LGBTQ community should be

represented in all areas of society, including in media, politics, and business.
This representation will help to break down stereotypes and prejudices, and will
help to create a more inclusive society.

We must also work to create safe spaces for the LGBTQ community. This
includes places where they can socialize and connect with others, as well as
places where they can access healthcare and other essential services.

In conclusion, the acceptance of the LGBTQ community in Indian society is

long overdue. We must all work together to create a more inclusive and
accepting society, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless
of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Together, we can create a better
future for all.
ASSIGNMENT No. 5
NATIONALISM IN INDIA

Nationalism is the belief in the unity and strength of a nation, and the desire to
promote its interests and culture. In India, nationalism sentiment has played a
significant role in shaping the country's political and social landscape.

India's nationalism movement began in the late 19th century, as Indian leaders
began to call for greater autonomy and self-government from British colonial
rule. This movement was led by figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal
Nehru, and Sardar Patel, who advocated for non-violent resistance and civil
disobedience as a means to achieve independence.

After India gained independence in 1947, nationalism sentiment continued to

shape the country's politics and society. The Indian National Congress, the
country's dominant political party, pursued policies aimed at unifying the
country and promoting national development. This included the promotion of
Hindi as the official language, the adoption of a common national flag, and the
establishment of a national education system.

However, nationalism sentiment in India has also been marked by a sense of

exclusivity and a desire to protect the interests of the majority Hindu
community. This has led to incidents of communal violence and discrimination
against minority groups, such as Muslims and Dalits.

In recent years, nationalism sentiment in India has taken on a more aggressive

and divisive tone, with some political leaders and groups promoting a vision of
India as a Hindu-only nation. This has led to increased tensions between
different religious and ethnic groups, and has raised concerns about the future of
India's secular and pluralistic society.

In conclusion, nationalism sentiment has played a significant role in shaping

India's politics and society, both positively and negatively. While it has been a
force for unity and national development, it has also been marred by exclusivity
and discrimination. It is important for India to continue to promote a inclusive
nationalism sentiment that respect every community and maintain its secular
nature.
