One social difference was that in India, religion didn t help the government unify their
empire. Hinduism was so diverse and had so many offshoots and sects like the Shaivites
and the Vaishnavites that it wasn t uniform enough to be shared across India and bring
together the Indian subcontinent and empire. This was distinct from China where
Confucianism was fairly consistent in its teachings and values. Because of this, all across
China the idea of Confucianism linked various provinces and areas like the vastly
different North and South China together. A follower of Confucius from a remote
southern province would probably follow the same ideals that another follower of

In the story Recitatif by Tone Morrison, it is about two women who have an issue of
remembering what happened to a lady, Maggie, who had an accident when they are
children. They go to the same state home, St. Bonny s (201), when they are eight. Their
mothers could not take care of them because Twyla s motherdanced all night and Roberta
s was sick (201). Twyla, who tells the story, has not seen her friend since childhood,
suggesting she does not know Roberta like she think she does. Roberta is a confused
woman who has not gotten over what happened to Maggie and her mind is creating
false memories of the incident. This leads to her blaming Twyla or someone else for
Maggie s accident. Later, Roberta realizes her mistakes and apologizes Twyla by telling
her the truth that it was the gar girls (213) who pushed Maggie and she wanted them to

I Support Dewey s Approach At The Policy Making Level
As a student in educational psychology, I support Dewey s approach at the policy
making level regarding the educational purpose and its role in creating well being
individuals in the world. The idea that the education should be effective in preparing
students to participate as active citizens in a democratic society seems big and need lots
of work, time and efforts to have it achieved. He believed that the democratic movement
in educationwas necessary for creating an equitable system of human liberties, his
approach was to stimulate students to become agents of change in his/her community. I
know that the criticism have been declared about his approach to education, but I see it
can be set as a very good policy that can be translated to strategic plan that in turn
translated into doable activities. The role of educational the system is important as it
should be the tool that used by the students to achieve this change in a positive way that
drive the community and the country to the greatest levels. The question here is How
can we upgrade the educational system to be a good tool for the students to be the agents
