Activity 1. What is Texture in art?

- Texture refers to the way an object feels to the touch or looks as it may feel if it were touched. Texture is one of
the seven elements of art.
Activity 2. What are the types of texture?

- Actual (or tactile) texture, implied (or visual) texture, natural texture, and artificial texture

Activity 3. Give the meaning of the following types of texture and paste or draw an example of each of them.

a) Tactile Texture

Activity 4. Who is Vincent Van Gogh?

- Vincent van Gogh, in full Vincent Willem van Gogh, (born March 30, 1853, Zundert, Netherlands—died July 29,
1890, Auvers sur-Oise, near Paris, France), Dutch painter, generally considered the greatest after rembrandt van
rijin and one of the greatest of the post- impressionist. The striking colour, emphatic brushwork, and countered

Activity 5. What is an impasto technique?
- Impasto is a painting technique that uses thick layers of paint. When you apply the paint thickly, it produces an
incredibly beautiful effect on the canvas.

Activity 6. Creating texture

Activity 7. Make your own texture collage. Use various types of materials, preferably indigenous and recycled materials, and
combination of techniques to add texture in your artwork. Add a title to your collage.
Activity 8. Write your insights regarding the learning task. Make sure to mention at least three learnings you gained from this
topic.

The things I learned from this topic are;

 The lesson activities are harder than I previously thought.

 I need to further improve my poor painting skills.
 The texture collage looks easy to me yet I found it hard to accomplish as I am lame at painting and
designing.
