IQ ASSESSMENT REPORT

CHIEF COMPLAINTS

Difficulties in studies, forgets easily, he has interest in studies, poor reading and writing
abilities, he is left handed, slow in replying, sometimes he will not reply when anyone calls
him, even though he hears the voice. Naughtiness at times, takes longer bathing time,
introvert nature.

FTNVD at hospital, birth cry was present, birth weight was 2.700 kg, no complications
reported in prenatal, natal or post natal periods. Delay in speech skill was reported, acquired
at 4 years of age.

BEHAVIOURAL OBSERVATION

The child was interested enough to do the assessment. Attention was aroused and sustained.
Visual and auditory ability were found to be normal. Speech was soft, relevant coherent and
productive, average reaction time and average psychomotor activity.

1. Binet- Kamat Test of Intelligence (BKT)

2. Vineland Social Maturity Scale (VSMS)

TEST FINDINGS

1. Binet- Kamat Test of Intelligence (BKT):

The subject has obtained an IQ score of 83 (prorated IQ), which is indicative of below
average level of intellectual functioning. His chronological age is 9 years 5 months and his
mental age is 7 years and 5 months.
2.Vineland Social Maturity Scale (VSMS):

On Vineland Social Maturity Scale (VSMS), his Social Quotient (SQ) was found to be 84
which indicates below average level of socio-adaptive functioning.

IMPRESSION:
Below average level of intellectual functioning (IQ= 83)
Below average level of socio-adaptive functioning (SQ=84)
