Our Academy
LAI offers tailor-made packages running year-round
for students of all ages. We aim to facilitate students’
complete immersion into Irish culture through host
family living, engaging classes and exciting activities.
We have a hard-working team of staff dedicated to
giving our students the best experience possible.

Location
LAI Bray is located in the picturesque seaside town of
Bray, Co. Wicklow. We are a quick 35mins by bus or
train to Dublin City Centre and both the bus stop and
train station are within walking distance from the
academy.
Bray is famous for its scenery, with the seaside
promenade and the ascent of Bray Head being favourite
landmarks. Bray Head is a small mountain that is
symbolic of our town. It rises from the sea to a height of
nearly 240m from which you will have a stunning view
of Dublin Bay. Another walking trail known as Bray Cliff
Walk will lead you along the side of Bray Head to the
beautiful village of Greystones.

Accommodation
Host family accommodation provides students with a fully immersive experience of Irish culture and
allows them to practice their English in a natural setting. All of our host families have been carefully
chosen and are visited to ensure continuity of high standards and a safe environment. Host families will
also provide breakfasts, packed lunches and dinners for our Junior Group students.

Lessons
Our students usually attend 15 hours of class per week.
Lessons are available at all levels from Elementary to
Advanced. All of our teachers are Irish native speakers
who are fully qualified and have years of experience.
They use a range of the best teaching methods and
materials to bring the English language to life. Classes
focus on improving students’ confidence in speaking
English while further developing students’ grammar
and vocabulary. Our lessons feature communication
activities, games and role-plays as well as integrating
the study of Irish culture and history, so that students
learn more about the country that they are staying in
and the sites they will be visiting throughout their stay.
Activities & Excursions

Language Academy Ireland offers a mix of cultural

excursions, historical visits, entertainment, sightseeing
and sports activities. We can also provide late evening
activities per week and one full day trip. We arrange
excursions in both Wicklow “The Garden of Ireland” and
Dublin. Wicklow has some of the most beautiful natural
attractions in this part of the country, such as our local
Cliff Walk, Glendalough and Wicklow Mountains National
Park www.glendalough.ie. Between Bray and Dublin lies
Dú n Laoghaire Town, a larger harbour town with lots to
see. We particularly encourage a trip to James Joyce Tower
museum at Sandycove.

care and supervision while ensuring that they have
a relaxed and fun-filled trip.
