Half-day + Option
inlingua Edinburgh offers a range of optional courses that are designed
for students who have a specific goal in mind, and would like to rapidly
improve their English language skills. Options are varied and are offered
on a one-to-one basis or in group tuition.
Students will study the General English Half-day group course in the
morning, before moving on to a more specialised option in the afternoon
14.30 to 16.00. Group Options consist of 30 lessons per week in a class
size of 8 students maximum.

General English
+ Exam Preparation
inlingua Edinburgh has a strong reputation for preparing students to sit Academic
English Exams in our city centre language school. Students will benefit from
the expertise of our experienced teachers who have an excellent track record of
successfully preparing students to sit a range of exams including; IELTS,TOEIC, PET,
FCE, CAE and CPE as well as a range of Business English Exams.
Students can improve their general English and prepare for sitting one of these exams
by choosing the General English + Exam Preparation course. Each course will
consist of General English group training in the morning 09.45 to 13.00, followed by a
more specific Exam Preparation option in the afternoon 14.30 to 16.00. This course will
consist of 30 lessons per week, and a maximum class size of 8 students.

One-to-One Tuition
One-to-one tuition is available all year round with one of our experienced
teachers. Students will benefit from individual attention and lessons
tailored to their unique needs and requirements. One-to-one tuition is
available in blocks of 20, 30, 40 or 50 lessons, and is ideal for students
who want to see fast progress in their English in a short period of time.

Business English
inlingua Edinburgh offers a variety of Business English courses on a one-
to-one tuition basis or in mini-group. Business English modules at inlingua
Edinburgh concentrate on a number of key areas including:

English Plus Courses
inlingua Edinburgh offers a range of English Plus courses that offer English
language students the chance to discover Scotland’s fascinating history and
culture. With so much going on in Edinburgh, it would be a shame to miss
out! English Plus courses combine a traditional classroom based English
language course with a supplementary cultural option.

For three afternoons per week the course will also introduce
participants to Edinburgh and The Scottish Arts, History, Culture and
Edinburgh Festivals. This component varies according to the time
of year but will typically include guided tours and visits to places of
interest in Edinburgh.

English + Festival
Edinburgh is famous throughout the world for its festival scene. For
the month of August, the city becomes alive as both the Edinburgh
International Festival and The Fringe Festival combine to form the
biggest celebration of the arts on the planet.
Generally students will follow the General English Half-day group course
09.45 to 13.00, before following the inlingua Edinburgh Festival
programme in the afternoon.
The course will introduce students to the history and culture of Edinburgh,

You can study at inlingua Edinburgh for one week or more and then transfer
to inlingua Cheltenham for the next part of your course. By doing this, you will
experience life in both Scotland and England and life in the city and the country.
You will discover the UK as a whole and will experience the different cultures
that make up this country. You will meet a variety of people, hear different
accents, sample different food and discover new places.

Directions
With Edinburgh’s International airport regularly introducing new routes,
you can choose from an extensive list of flights.
inlingua Edinburgh is in Shandwick Place, at the west end of
Edinburgh’s famous main street, Princes Street – right in the centre
of the city!
Both the Airport bus and many local buses stop in Shandwick Place
which is two minutes’ walk to Princes Street Garden with a superb
view of the Castle. Haymarket Station is also five minutes’ walk away.
