Interviewer 3: May we know your carrer, Doktora Belo?

Vicki Belo (ADULT): I am a founder, CEO, and Medical Director of Belo Medical Group,
which operates 15 medical clinics in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao. The Belo Medical Group
is the first accredited ambulatory cosmetic surgi-centre in the Philippines, certified by the
Philippine Department of Health (DOH) and endorsed by the Philippine Department of Tourism
(DOT).

Interviewer 3: What are the awards that you have received, Doktora Belo?

Vicki Belo (ADULT): Me and the Belo Medical Group recently gained recognition when it
represented the Philippines at the Global Health & Pharma’s Healthcare & Pharmaceutical
(GHP) Awards and was bestowed the “Beauty Industry Pioneer of the Year Award 2021, I also
collaborated with global experts to achieve a consensus for safety protocols that aesthetic clinics
should abide by to keep patients and staff safe. The paper was published in the prestigious
international journal Dermatologic Therapy. Belo Medical Group was aldso the 2017 Black
Diamond awardee. Other runner-ups include Facial Care Centre, 1st runner-up; House of Obagi,
2nd runner-up; The Aivee Group, 3rd runner-up; and OroDermBody Advanced Dermatology,
4th runner-up. I was also awarded with two Black Diamond Awards for both Thermage (Skin
Tightening) and Fraxel (Skin Resurfacing) laser procedures. For over 30 years, Belo Medical
Group has been and continues to be the number one medical aesthetic ambulatory clinic in the
Philippines. In 2013, Belo Medical Group became the first ambulatory clinic in the country to
have been given international accreditation by the National Accreditation Board of Hospitals and
Healthcare Providers. It was re-accredited in 2016 and, to this day, is the only clinic in the
Philippines to have received this recognition. Belo Medical Group carries the distinction of being
the first local ambulatory clinic to be given international accreditation by the National
Accreditation Board of Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) accreditation and the first
DOH-certified group of ambulatory surgi-centers for cosmetic dermatology and surgery.

Interviewer 3: What are your contributions, Doktora?

Vicki Belo (ADULT): During the early pandemic, the Belo Medical Group handled out 1,000
meals a day to COVID-19 frontliners for the duration of the quarantine period. Prior to
preparing and handing out meals, Belo and her company donated their remaining stocks of
personal protective equipment (PPE) sets to health workers combating the spread of COVID-
19. I will also guaranteed support to her employees as well as encouraged the people behind
other beauty and wellness centers to do the same. Extraordinary times call for extraordinary
measures. Belo Medical Group stays in solidarity with the government, and the people in our
continued fight against the spread of COVID-19. We must, in all ways, go beyond the necessary
actions for the betterment of our country. God bless us, and keep us all safe and healthy. I also
gave Back Through Project for Kids with Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate One is likely to associate the
name "Belo" with beauty, thanks to the medical clinic's celebrity endorsers who are living proof
of how technological advancements can help one achieve a smoother complexion or a slimmer
body. It may be astounding to see the results of science on these famous people, but none of
these are as compelling as the transformations of the nameless, faceless kids under the Belo
Smiles project. Every year, around 4,500 Filipino kids are born with a cleft lip and palate, one of
the highest in Asia. With their expertise, the Belo Medical group hopes to help the best way it
can. "When we first met the kids, they were very sad. We brought food, we had mascots, but
they weren't really smiling. Parang walang life. But now you see that their smiles are so bright.
Lastly, Philippine Children's Book. The book (in both Tagalog and English) narrates the story
my life--how a shy child transformed and became a successful cosmetic surgeon in the
Philippines. The story highlights Vicki's extraordinary diligence to improve herself, her
knowledge, and abilities, to become successful with her business ventures.
