Maria: Hi, John. Can you help me in the kitchen for a moment?
John: Of course, what do you need?
Maria: Could you take the chopping board from the cabinet, please? I want to cut some vegetables
for the soup.
John: Sure thing. Here you go.
Maria: Thanks. Oh, and can you give me a spoon, please? I need to taste the soup.
John: Here you are. Do you need anything else?
Maria: Yes, actually. Could you bring me the knife, please? I need to chop the onions.
John: No problem. Here it is. Do you have everything you need now?
Maria: Almost (Aproape). Do you have a bottle opener? I want to open this bottle of wine.
John: Yes, I do. Here you go. Oh, and by the way (apropo), is there a ladle in the drawer? I need it to
serve the soup.
Maria: Yes, there should be one in there. Let me check. Ah, here it is. Can you put some soup in the
bowl, please?
John: Sure thing. How much do you want?
Maria: Just a little bit for now. Thanks. Oh, and could you use the fork to stir the soup, please?
John: Of course. Is there anything else you need me to do?
Maria: Yes, actually. Could you pour the eggs in the frying pan, please? I want to make an omelette.
John: Sure thing. And do you want me to cook the cake in the oven as well?
Maria: Yes, please. Can you preheat it to 350 degrees and put the cake in for 30 minutes?
John: Got it. And should I boil the milk for five minutes in the saucepan?
Maria: Yes, please. And don't forget to weigh the flour before you add it to the mixing bowl.
John: Alright, I'll make sure to do that. And when the meat is ready, should I fry it and take it out
with the slotted spoon?
Maria: Yes, please. And one more thing - can you put on your apron first, please?
John: Sure thing. Thanks for reminding me. Let's get cooking!
