How to use PULSE
Starting your Shift
Taking An Order
Log In
Click on Log In to log into Pulse.
• Click the 'Log In' button.
• Enter your password using the keypad.
• Click the 'OK' button.

Start the Order

Select 'Counter Order' to start an order.
Greeting / Specials Tab
Click on the Greeting / Specials tab to enter Service Method, Timed Order and to view Customer's Last Order.
• A greeting can be programmed by the Manager.
• The customer's Last Order will show and can be used to quickly reorder the same items if required
• Click on Delivery, Pick-Up, Uber Del or Roo Del to select the Service Method.
• Click on Time Wanted or Expedite Order to select Timed Order information.
NOTE - Click Expedite Order to move it to the top of the makeline.

Customer Tab
Click on the Customer tab to enter Customer details.
NOTE - If a customer has ordered previously, their details will automatically show on the screen. For
privacy, DO NOT read the address to the caller. Instead, ask the caller to confirm their details.

DELIVERY Enter phone number. To enter phone number, click into the Phone # field and use keypad.
NOTE - Ensure you enter phone number first. If phone number is entered second or
after, then all customer details will disappear.
To enter a mobile number, click into the Phone # field, remove area code numbers by clicking
backspace and use the keypad to enter the mobile number.
Enter address.
NOTE - The word 'Suite' refers to Unit / Apartment / Complex number (i.e. Unit 3B).

ORDERED PICK UP Enter phone number. To enter phone number, click into the Phone # field and use keypad.
NOTE - Ensure you enter phone number first. If phone number is entered second or
after, then all customer details will disappear.
 To enter a mobile number, click into the Phone # field, remove area code numbers by clicking
backspace and use the keypad to enter the mobile number.

WALK IN PICK UP Enter name.

Pizzas Tab - Size, Crust, Pizza and Quantity
Click on the Pizzas tab to enter pizzas the customer wants to order.
• The Pizzas tab is organised into:
o Size
o Crust
o Specialty Pizzas
NOTE - Specialty Pizzas are all of the pizzas in our range.
• Additional buttons in the Pizzas tab include:
o Half and Half
o Pizza Toppings
o Cooking Instructions
NOTE - Sizes, Crusts and Specialty Pizzas are listed (mostly)in alphabetical order.
Pizza Half and Half
• Click on the Half and Half button to create a customised pizza for a customer.
• Click on the Left button to customise the left side of the pizza.
• Click on the Right button to customise the right side of the pizza.

Pizza Tab - Pizza Toppings

Click on the Pizza Toppings button to add or remove toppings on a pizza.
• Orange coloured buttons show toppings that have already been selected for that pizza.
• Click the Pizza Toppings button to add extra toppings to a pizza.
• To add more or less than one serve, select a quantity

LIGHT Equals half the normal serve (i.e. less cheese, less sauce).

DOUBLE Equals 1 extra serve (i.e. equals 2 serves if this ingredient is not already on the pizza).

TRIPLE Equals 2 extra serves (i.e. equals 3 serves if this ingredient is not already on the pizza).
Pizzas Tab - Cooking Instructions
Click on the Cooking Instructions button to input specific cooking instructions requested by the customer.
• Enter customer requirements in the blank notes section (i.e. 'allergic to prawns'). These notes will go directly
to the makeline for the Pizza Makers to see.
• Click the Well Done button if the customer wants their pizza cooked for longer.
• Click the No Pork or Clean Cut Blade if the customer requests this.

Everything Else Tab

Click on the Everything Else tab for drinks, sides, breads, chicken, desserts etc (i.e. everything else)
• For drinks, click on drinks, select the required size and the type of drink.
• Click on other buttons as appropriate for everything else (i.e. desserts, bread, chicken etc).
NOTE - To return to the Everything Else Tab, click on theEverything Else Tab at the bottom of the screen.
Coupons Tab
Click on the Coupons tab to apply a discount to the customer's order.
• Click on Find Coupon by Code button to enter the code if needed.
• Click on the Tax and Total button to see other discount options.
NOTE - The customer must have a coupon or a coupon code.

Add Discount
Click on the Add Discount button to apply a discount to the customer's order.
• Click on the Tax and Total button to see discount options.
• Click the Add Discount button select the discount type you wish to apply.
NOTE - Manager approval is required to use this feature.
Payments Tab
Click on the Payments tab to take CASH payment from the customer.
• Click on the Cash button.
• Click on the Now button.
• Click on Adjust Amount button or enter the exact amount of cash given by the customer using the keypad.
NOTE - Pulse is not linked to the cash drawers so moststores ONLY use the Payments tab for CASH sales.
Finish Tab - Delivery Instructions
Click on the Finish tab to confirm order and enter delivery instructions.
Click the Instructions button and select the appropriate instruction.
NOTE - Any delivery instructions written here will appear onthe customer's receipt.

Finish Tab - Confirm Order

• Read the order back to the customer to confirm details are correct.
• Click Accept to complete order and send it to the makeline.
• Click Yes to finish order.
Finding an order
Log in
Click on Log In to log into Pulse.
• Click the 'Log In' button.
• Enter your password using the keypad.
• Click the 'OK' button.
Search Today's Orders
Click on Today's Orders to view the orders for that day.
• View orders as 'All', 'Delivery' or 'Non Delivery'.
• For PICK UP, type customer's name or phone number into the Search bar.
• For DELIVERY, type customer's phone number or address into the Search bar.
• You can filter columns by clicking on a button in the Header row.
• Click Edit Order to edit an order.
Take a Quick Payment
Click on Quick Payment to view any unpaid pick up orders for that day.
• Select the order you wish to take a quick payment for.
• Click on the Cash button.
• Click on the Now button.
• Click on Adjust Amount button or enter the exact amount of cash given by the customer using the keypad.
NOTE - This is used by stores who have electronic cashdrawers.
• Once the order has been processed, it will disappear from the screen.
