THE ORIGIN OF LAKE TOBA DRAMA

Narator : In a village in North Sumatra, there lived a farmer named Toba.


He was a farmer who lived alone, in a sunny morning the
farmer went fishing in the river.
Toba : Oh my Lord, I hope I can find a big fish today.
Narator : Suddenly when he just threw the hook, the hook wobbling and
the big fish comes out from the water when he pull the hook.
Toba : Thank God, you gave me a big fish, and the fish is beatiful.
Red scales shine like gold. Hmmm .... it will delicious when I
eat it later.
Putri : Wait, you don’t eat me! I’m willing to stay with you as long as
I’m not eaten.
Toba : Ha?! I heard some voice, but who was that?
Putri : It’s me, I’m talking to you.
Toba : What? Fish?
Narator : And the fish released from the hook, it doesn’t take long times
to the fish for transform herself into human.
Putri : Don’t worry sir, I’m also human just like you. I owe so much to
you because you have saved me from the curse of the gods. I’m
willing to be your wife.
Toba : Really?
Putri : Of course.
Toba : By the way, what is your name?
Putri : My name is Putri,and you?
Toba : My name is Toba. Let’s home, I can’t wait to introducing you as
my wife hahaha.
Putri : But Toba, you need to cover my real identify as a fish. Don’t let
anyone know the fact that i’m fish. If that happen it could be thee
huge disaster to this village it that happen.
Toba : Well, you can have my words. I never told anyone about this.
Narator : Then Toba and Putri returned home. A year later, Toba and
Putri have a son thet they called Samosir.
Samosir grew into a boy who is healthy and strong, but a little
naugthy.
Toba : Mom, where lunch for me?
Putri : I have prepared, and I put it on thre table.Sanmosir, where is
your father lunch?
Samosir : I have ate it all mom. I’m still hungry, but never mind. I’m going
to play, bye father.
Toba : Samosir!! You always spoiling him, I’m hungry do you know
that?
Putri : Be patient sir, I will make you another one. Remember he is
the only one son that we have. Don’t let this kind of situation
bring you emotional out.
Toba : Well, just make me some food to eat, I’m so starving.
Putri : Wait, I’ll make it.
Narator : The farmer can still hold his temper. But each of us has
limitation in paticience, until some day Toba can’t hold his
temper anymore.
Putri : Samosir, help me please.
Samosir : Oh come on mom, what is it. I’m playing.
Putri : Please bring this to your father in the field, he must be hungry
and tired.
Samosir : You go by yourself.
Putri : I need to cook honey, just go bring this to your father, or he will
be angry.
Samosir : (sigh) give me the stuff, hurry!
Narator : Samosir wasn’t really concern about the food, he wasn’t care
whether to bring this on time or not.
Samosir : Is so far away, I’m alone, tired, and hungry in this road. Better
to eat some portion of father’s lunch.
Narator : The food has been eaten by Samosir, and without feeling guilty
he came home and continueing playing.
Father who had overheated and hungry in waiting decide to go
home. When he arrived ...
Toba : Mom, where is my lunch, you haven’t made yet?
Putri : I have asked Samosir to bring it to you.
Toba : Samosir, come here quickly!
Samosir : What is it again? I’m playing father.
Toba : Where is my lunch?
Samosir : I have ate them all, I was so tired and hungry in the way to field.
Toba : I’ve been starving waiting for the food, and without feeling
guilty you just said you have ate them all?! You Such FISH KID!
Samosir : Mother (crying).
Putri : Run Samosir! Run! Father, you have broke our promises.
Toba : But I didn’t mean it, I’m emotional. I’m sorry Putri.
Putri : You will get what you have done eventually.
Narator : Suddenly a gush of water comes up, so the farmer and all of
his surrounding submerged into water that form as a lake and
there is small island in the middle of that.
