Inventory Management

Scope
According to the meeting held at Geo office on 21/Jan/23, following requirements were discussed that
makes the overall scope of the project.

1. Ability to define and manage vendors, items and warehouses.

a. Ability to upload one or more pictures of the items.
2. Ability to create purchase orders, receive goods, generate vendor bill and make payments to
vendor.
3. Ability to issue items to specific production site.
4. Ability to receive items back specific production site.
5. Ability to remove damaged items from the inventory.
6. Ability to remove stolen / lost items from the inventory.
7. Ability to book items in advance based on the availability of items at specific date or period.
8. Ability to track the movement and availability of items.

Team and Roles

1. Syed Mudassir – Project Manager
a. The role covers low level requirements gathering from end-user, guiding team in designing
the system and technical assistance to technical team
2. Hammad – Software Engineer
a. The role covers deploying solution on cloud, doing customizations and unit testing, fixing
issues reported by QA and providing post production support to client.
3. Haider – Software Test Engineer
a. The role covers testing end-to-end solution on cloud, reporting issues to development,
assisting end user in using the system.

Time and Cost7 Estimates

1. The system will roughly take 3-4 month to complete. Following are the important milestones /
Deliverables to be achieved during the period based on above scope.
a. Data entry / Migration of setup data (Items, Vendors, Warehouses, Sites)
b. Purchase Cycle
c. Issue and Return Cycle
d. Accounting for damaged and lost items
e. Any printable reports.
2. Based on high level scope the system will cost around 600-700K. The cost covers efforts including
system setup on cloud, data migration, customizations, QA, end-user trainings and post production
support.

Notes
1. This is a customized solution. Purchase Cycle is built-in but Issue and Return Cycle is fully customized
which is increasing the time and cost of the solution.
